2004 TL Price

Dealer states the price is going to be 31-33K and wants 1K to lock in a reserve for october. do you think this is a sales comeone and when you go to get the final numbers it will be 37K? and not be available in october and be strung along for weeks and weeks like people did with the MDX?? whats everyones opinion?

Question I want a 2004 TL-S NOW!

Got 23 mo. left on my 2003 TL-S lease w/Honda Finance and wish to get out of it to get a new 2004 TL-S, all options, [that is, only if an "S" is available]. Honda Finance doesn't permit a lease transfer, other than a straight cash buyout, of old lease, though perhaps they may make an exception of if I lease a new Acura? Anyone with experience with same, or absolute knowledge of Type-S option for 2004?

I'm saying that even 32k is too much money to pay for a car like the 04 TL. I mean you get some nice new features, but considering I paid less than 28 for my TL premium... I wouldn't pay 32. If I wanted a sports car, I'd buy a sports car... not a "not sure if I'm a sports car, or a luxery car, car..."

Nobody knows the price, it won't be final until about a week before the TL is available for delivery.

Not reallly a fair comparison because I also paid about $28k for my TL-P while the TL-S was abit over $30k. The new TL-04 should have at least the performance of the current Type S if not slightly more power and features. So if it were $32k, it wouldnt be much more than the Type S when it first came to market. Right now you can have a Type S brand new for what I paid for the TL-P because the dealers are getting rid of them in time for the new model of the car to come out.
HOWEVER, with that said, if the new TL is like the current TL in terms of having only one option for the car (in our case NAV was the only option for 2nd Gen TL until they came out with the Type S in '02) and everything else is standard, AND if the price of the car is going to be $35k like some other rumors have said, then the car is way over priced. Frankly, my TL has had so many interior rattles (yet a new one developed this week up near where the dash meets the firewall by the windshield), a new tranny was needed at 32k miles, and the perpetual rotor warp problems, that I would never buy another TL when have used up mine. So I wouldnt given Honda Motor Company $35k of my hard earned money. The quality just isnt there.

A lot of people (at least 20 people I've spoken to in person) say it is the best looking car to come out of Honda in years. Not to mention the hundreds of people who have put down money for deposits.

Personally it looks better than the 2nd Gen TL... and the 2nd Gen is very classy.

'04 Pricing

Hello,

I'm new here, but I've contacted a few dealerships in the Philadelphia area, all of whom told me that the MSRP would be in the low 30's. They're due for delivery in early October.

Cool site.

I expect a waiting list and dealer gouging on markup, like the MDX. What have you guys been hearing? Who thinks the dealers will stick with MSRP?

If i was interested in the new TL, i would wait until next year to purchase it, because they should have worked most of the bugs out of it. Also the dealer gouging should be well over with. Plus they always add something new, or some type of upgrade to them.

Sell your car, and just tell the person that buys the car to pay off the buyout for the lease..

But it depends on how much the cars worth and if the buyout is more or less, if its less than money goes out of your pocket, but if you plan on buying the car at the end of the lease than your loss will be greater..

You never know u might just make money

I think 31k is going to be the price and 270 hp will be the numbers. The 2k3 max is about 30k and 265 hp. Acura is going to be right in their with those #s. They would be stupid if they priced it any higher.

I might be crazy( and probably am to some extent), but am I the only one to have been looking at other car prices lately. You can't get anything, and I mean anything now-a-days nice for under $35k that has now for options what my TL-P came with standard and its a 2000. I would be p.o.'d if I had to check the option box for "heated seats" on a so-called luxury or entry-luxury sedan. It's an absolute joke when you hear this base price of "x" car and you get a little interested until you see that base is the true definition of being the bottom model. Guys, don't get me wrong, I would love for a loade TL with Navi to top out at $32k, which if very well might. Nobody here really knows, we are all going off of specualtion. I beleive that if this car comes with all it is rumored to at around 35 grand, it is in line with most, if not all of its competition.

I think it will be like this..

2004 TL w/o Navi 34k and w/ Navi 36k

HPT Option w/o Navi 35k and w/ Navi 37k

Also BigNard you are so right, BMW seems all nice for the base price, than u add a simple thing like a CD Player and you have to buy a $4k package or something..

Luxury cars Charge way too much for additional features..

That is why TL Owners have bought the car,

1) Reliability
2) More Bang for the Buck

Well put BigNard, that is one great thing about Acura. Generally, the only option is navigation.

I enjoy getting "it all" with every model.

I guess.

After this year, there will only be one "S" left.

You think maybe they will just get rid of TYPE-S Cars and just faster cars come out every year

Every time Acura releases a new model, they use comsumer insight and suggestions to impove the model after a couple years. I'll wait it out a bit. I'm happy with my 03 and want to see if there will be a new type s down the line.

Unless I find a way to afford an Escalade.......
