2004 TL 6MT Spark Plug Well Damaged

Hello all,
I bought my car about five months ago and am still getting caught up on maintenance. When I was changing spark plugs and ignition coils there was oil in the spark plug well. Fast forward to me replacing valve cover gasket and well seals.

The entire spark plug well was able to be removed!
The ends where the well connects to the head was flared out.

Spark plug threads were intact and I wound up using some RTV to try and seal the well to the head. Worked for a while but is now leaking oil to the spark plug again.
What in the world made this happen? And are there any solutions beside head replacement or TIG welding the aluminum?

Jesus that's a new one. Got any pics? Specifically where it broke at the bottom of the well?

RTV is more of a gasket maker, to prevent leaks. I would think you'd want something a bit more structural, like JB weld to hold it together.

I didn't take any pics at the time. I want to clean out my intake and throttle body and seal up this well again, so I'll get some then.

Since the well isn't anything structural, I just used RVT to try to prevent oil from finding its way to my spark plug.
A greater amount of RVT or JB would probably so the trick.

Don't use RTV inside your engine as it could do serious damage. Clean it out and use something like JB Weld to rebuild those tubes.
