2004 Honda Accord Dashboard for 2004 Acura TL dash replacement

Is it possible to use 2004 Honda Accord dashboard in Acura TL? My dash is cracked. Big surprise. I do not want to buy Acura dash as a replacement if there is a problem with the dashboard in general. Can I have 2004 Accord dash replaced with a 2004 TL?

Accord dash? Meh. I bought an Acura for a reason. I'd rather vinyl wrap my dash, lol. Come to think of it, maybe an upholsterer might be able to do a custom job with leatherette/double stitching that would look upscale and come out cheaper than an entire Accord dash. Think about how much you would have to replace, it would cost thousands.

i don't believe it will work. It seems to be a 3rd gen acura tl problem though. I see quite a few of them cracked. never seen a 7th gen accord with a cracked dash.

Sorry maybe I did not clarify. I have an 04 TL. I want to use an 04 Accord. Is this possible? Will I run into any problems?

OP it will probably cost you more trying to fit the accords than to buy a new TL dash.

Ive never seen a 6th gen with a cracked dash either and thats a pretty old car, so i say my prayers every night that my dash hasn't cracked on my 3G. Btw OP a 4th gen accord dash is gonna look HORRIBLE on a 3G TL but then again i highly doubt it'll fit anyway.

Op just get another TL dash. Complain to the dealer like most memebers and haggle them down to a reasonable price (even though Acura should have step up on this a long time ago and fix it under some defect claim).

Read this and search and find more threads to present a better arguement:

Different car/wont fit. It would take a LOT to make it work in a TL. Its too bad ours is made out of crap material because its a pretty nice looking dash IMO.

Not bad at all! They should have made it more matte though, it seems semi-gloss and that might make a reflection. It's that passenger airbag cutoff that gives it a cheap look though. I'm sure that can be made to fit better. It sits pretty tight on top of the dash. I imagined it would simply just sit loosely on top. Looks more like it hugs it like a cell-phone cover.

It's a good fix for someone with a crack dash that plans on keeping the car long-term.

Thanks for finding that. Not a bad option at all. I could live with the finish but that passenger airbag area is poorly executed. I wonder how it would look if it was wrapped in something like a vinyl or carbon fiber.

Yes I agree that air bag cover is the only thing I don't like. I could live with it IF and ONLY IF I couldn't afford to replace it with the OEM dash.

Best bet is to photoshop it to get a conceptive idea of what it may look like. Just note, that pictures don't do justice sometimes or if purchase one can wrap it with it without fully installing the vinyl as well.
