40kVW? Try 50k V8 Tourareg or 50k+ v10 diesel one coming next year.. It's BEST truck out there, bar none... great for offroading, interior better than FX45, X5, ML and featurewise kills every other SUV out there, except maybe problem prone Range Rovers..
He has each car in his driveway. Just trust him.

its funny that this has been posted here. Originally I was going to get the tl but after seeing the g35 coupe I converted. It was basically that the tl is wwd (wrong wheel drive) and the styling. I may kick myself in the ass when the a-spec comes out but I'm sure the coupe will make it all better. As for the g35 sedan, ugly..but you have to admit nissan/infiniti is really taking a turn for the better. Read actual owner reviews on the fx35/fx45 and you wont find too many complaints..same with the M45, and the larger SUV that is coming out.. the armada already goes 0-60 in 7 seconds and has every option you could want, imagine what the infiniti will be like? I'm sorry, but acura just hasn't had the balls to show up and be a competitor to nissan/infiniti or toyota/lexus.

Oh, I am not doubting the STis performance. It is an amazing vehicle. But I cannot find myself paying that much for one. Maybe a used one if I want a true sports car.

It's nice, true but it is not convincing enough over the RX 330 for me. It is a great SUV but for that much $$$$, quality will be an issue and that to me, makes no sense.
Don't forget the M3 light comes out next year. More HP and less weight.
The M3 CSL will NOT be coming to America.

I'll say no thanks all day to sacrificing interior design and exterior looks for performance like Nissan / Infiniti has been doing...

Naw bub, unfortunately we are not getting it. Weird since for a DAMN CHANGE we are getting the best cars usually sold outside the USA (911 GT-3, EVO, STi etc)

Not me. Performance is not first unless I am buying an all out sports car. Performance is down the line or a huge bonus when buying a sedan, IMO.

i really dont understand why you guys are dissing on each others cars with subjective opinions. yeah ido agree the 04 tl interior looks great. beat the g35 interior anytime. but the g35 interior isnt that bad as you guys think . the popout navi loks pretty cool. but the exterior are not perfect.

I test drove the G35. I thought it would be a contender on my new car short list. The moment I sat in the car on the showroom floor I knew it was not the car for me. Can you say Ford Probe? Can you say cheap interior? The test drive did nothing more for me.

Still waiting on my '04 silver/black/6spd/navi. to come in from the factory.........

Looks are always subjective thats why I never take that serious, its a matter of personal taste. It is people out their that think that New TL is not that atttractive as well and those that do as well as the G35 on both accounts, but do those owners care not one bit. They enjoy their cars regardless and dont always think your car is the sharpest and best looking because it might not be to the next guy!

Conicidentally, I drove a G35 6MT coupe yesterday. Wow, what a ride and the exhaust sounds great.

I hate the three spoke steering wheel. The Brembo calipers were hot. I think the car also ties Acura for the world's smallest moonroof.

I agree on the Acura sunroof, my maxima was huge by comparison, Acura made a big deal about it being wider, but it is still too small in the depth.

Drive is good, and I do like the looks, but (as I wrote in a G35 forum before) ..
(1) ergonomically the car is a disaster area, which hardly a single button in the right place, and a so-so driving position, and
(2) the brakes, great at high speeds, but unusable at lower speeds: way too sensitive ('grabby').

I am getting so fed up with having to search for buttons, with the window buttons where my left knee is, the seat buttons between my right thigh and the center console, the radio on/off and volume on the right hand side, etc etc. And then I have not even started about the analog clock, three displays instead of one on the centre console, and on and on.

Ok, frustration level down for a while ...

Can't wait to test drive in the TL, which is looking good except for Honda's possibly deal-breaking decision to do DVD-A instead of MP3s. Don't car designers care about their potential clients any more?

RJ
Right on! What RJTL said is pretty much what made my decision to get the TL. "ergonomically the car is a disaster " bigger that *hit!! What a nightmare. Loved the power and RWD on the G35 and I too think is pretty good looking is you get the right combo. The TL was just better...looking, feeling, smelling. You want a sports sedan get an M3 or and Audi A6R.

guys i dont know why these 2 car should be vs each other. i have 2 frens that have the g35 coupe and they say they bought it cuz they wanted a 2dr. The TL is a 4 door. way different in class. So if u want a 4 dr get the TL if u want 2 dr get the g35, both have great designs. So those of u guys dissing the tl and those dissing g35....go pick on someone ur own size (2dr vs 2dr , 4dr vs 4dr)

Drove a G35 sedan and coupe recently also, after what I posted previously in this thread. I still stand by my comments on the interior. I felt like I was looking at the dashboard of an old truck. Maybe it looks better at night. Also, the steering wheel does seem a bit uncomfortable/odd. The exhaust on the coupe sounds aftermarket though. G35 is a nice machine but since performance is only one of many factors important to me, I would probably not buy that car.

I believe most of this thread is directed at the sedan vs. sedan. My commnets were, thats for sure. I agree...there's NO reason to discuss the G35 coupe vs. the TL, it's a different animal entirely.
