2004 Acura 3.2 TL Steering Probleme
Help Please!!!!!
I recently bought a 2004 Certified Acura 3.2 TL with powerdrain warranty up to 6 years/160K. My car's steering is not straight and when take my hand off it, the car pulls right. When i drive about 40mph and up, the car shakes when roll over a bumpy road. Scary...!!!
I brought my car back to the dealer, they did the tire balancing + alignement. But the probleme still there..
What could be the probleme? Please help....
Many Thanks

As an alignmnet has been done, and if the car then continues to pull right, you'll need to check further into suspension components, and also brake calipers.

There are many possibilities, sounds like youve had the basics done balance, rotate, alignment. Other things that could be possibilitie bad tires, bent wheels, suspension, badly warped brake rotors. Also keep in mind some roads are crowned which could also be a cause of a pull, bumpy roads could also be the cause of your vibration. I would bring it back to the place that serviced it and have them drive the car to see what their perception is on your problem.

Hunter Roadforce. the best alignment machine money can buy. improper tire wear is a possibility and suspension componets may come in to play. also rotate the tires and check the wear patterns. it you are getting flat spots or anything of the such, you may have a serious problem.
Quite frankly, i am suprised the dealership aligned & balanced for you. Thats usually considered normal wear & tear and they would charge ya for it.
good luck with it!!

I would start by swapping left to right on just the front tires.. It is quite common for a bad tire to exhibit a significant pull. Had it twice with two different sets of Goodyear's on the wife's Suburban..
Definitely test on different streets/roads. Many that you may think are not crowned/banked actually are...
Best of luck

funny thing you mention. my car was getting really bad with the pull.. 2 weeks later, i got a bubble in one tire, replaced it.. the pull has significantly died down...
i think all cars are always gonna "pull" no matter what, unless they are brand spanking new... when (and if ) you have ever mashed the curb when parking, you are unaligning certain components. plus no road is perfectly flat... one shock or strut may be worse then the other from a bad pothole... its always gonna be a problem, in my opinion

I had the same problems with my 04 a few months after I purchased it - I brought the car in for realignment, which showed that all parameters were within spec., but they made a few adjustments. But I still had significant pull and vibration at moderate speeds (40-60mph) - brought it back in to the shop - they suggested swapping the front tires for the back tires, although I must say that at the time, I couldn't believe that I would have had such problems from what was then "young" OEM tires. I agreed, and all the problems disappeared. Give it a shot, it might help make the tires that you're on useful for their remaining life.
