Ok I could not turn down the offer, my college buddy sold me his one owner 2000Tl with 124000 miles on it and the Tranny is shot. I got it for $500.00 not bad right? Now for the bad part, I am a old ford chevy guy who has never done any work on front wheel drive vehicles before so this will be my first Tranny swap deling with a front wheel drive motor. I hav been searching the site and I found NAV guru who has done some Oddy swaps so I am searching the San diego area to try and find a low mileage tranny for the car. Unfortunately I have not done my five posts yet so I can't get any e-mails yet from him for any advice. I am also waiting for the Factory service manual so I can figure out where to even start on the Tranny. Any advice on how complicated this is going to be? Can I get the Tranny out by putting the car on stands high enough to get it out or do I have to start pulling the bumper and other things to get it out? Thanks and I am sure I will be asking alot of questions.
