20,000 Miles...

...and still loving it!!
I just hit 20,000 miles this morning when I was driving a friend to Park Ave Acura.
we were picking her brand new 2005 TSX from the dealer.

The TL is not perfect but I am very, very happy with it.
I did not drive the car for 3 weeks since my parents were out of the counrty.
I borrowed both my mom's 2002 X5 and my dad's 2004 530i.
I actualy enjoy driving my car better than either cars. I used to drive a 2001 530i before switching to the TL. BMW has lost a lot of ground to the Japanese car manufacturers particularly to the Japanese big 3 (Toyota, Nissan, and Honda).

overall, no regrets from the big switch!! maybe i'll convert the family from BMW to Acura...

I hit 15k during my lunch hour today.

I love this car! Of course, it has its quirks, but what car doesn't?

i hit 20K a month ago and it has since kinda stayed there. i switched jobs and now no longer need to commute to work via the TL. kinda miss driving it from time to time but i am glad i don't have to sit in traffic every morning. so now the TL is strictly a weekend car.

Yeah, if I had to commute like that I seriously doubt I would have gotten the 6MT. I probably average about 1000 miles (or less) a month. I bought my TL in Nov 2004.

Drove to work yesterday in my TL (I use the Ranger pickup when conditions are not favorable to my TL). When getting in to come back home, I happened to glance at the odometer and WOW.. 11111 miles!! Don't often see those numbers when they go by.

I hit 20000 this morning on my way to work and my fucking rear tire blew out on the freeway. That was a nice gift from my car...I hate those tires at least now I have a really good reason to buy some new ones.

makes me wonder

what kinds of crap you were driving before the TL... It is a nice car but people are getting weird... about it...

lol

it is a car and I expect it to perform as good or better than any other car of lesser or equal value. If it does not, it is crap.. I do not need a relationship with a dealer or some service person.. That relationship means they make money off me...

If you bought a house that you loved but always needed a crack fixed here or there you might not be so in love with the builder or the home.

Huh??? I have no clue what you're talking about.

Before my '04 6MT TL I had an '01 5AT CL-S. But, what has that got to do with anything?
