That vehicle was somebody's pride and joy, but I had the same reaction to it as I do to the Pontiac Aztek or most of George Barris' work.
That Accord does have great entertainment and educational value for us.
I mean, who is tempted to re-do the fenders on their Acura or Accord now, and add on suicide front doors??
I too am curious about the price, and wonder if the car is primered or if the photos just don't do justice to the car...

It's a lot cheaper to grumble about a photo than to go through the installation and THEN find out what it really looks like. Maybe Acurazine needs an educational page for this purpose.
I really don't get the look of the suicide doors on a 2-door-car. If the suicide doors were the rear doors of a 4-door, then there'd be some symmetry around the B-pillar. But then you'd want to take out the B-pillar, and then... whaddaya got? A Honda Element!
I'd also gripe about the off-center rear plate and everything all blacked-out. I know that's popular and it can look good with the right lighting, but with a low-res picture and a lot of sun-glare, the photo's not doing it justice. It almost looks like spy-shots of a new model (with body panels covered), so in that sense there is some excitement about what's hidden.
The large rear pipes look cool, like a RWD muscle car. The large wheels on the side view look good too.
And like you said, this is/was someone's pride and joy. When someone goes through all the effort to do something like that, they probably don't want to hear that it was better to have done nothing.
Still, it's gotta be interesting if a cop radios the description of their car... a black 2-Door TL, no CL no Accord? I guess when they run the plate they get to find out what it really is.
P.S. Anyone think this was really from a 2G CL instead of new 2-door Accord? Or maybe just a photoshop-and-duct-tape trick photo to get us riled up?

I once saw what was left of a woman's body after she tried to cross the 101 freeway here in LA. The car that hit her ripped off her limbs and her head and her mangled corpse was left for everyone in the slow traffic to see, sprawled out in the fast lane of the 101/405 interchange.
