Are you known to carry something in the car that would cause someone to break into the car twice looking for the item? Maybe a handgun or something else. I find it odd the the same thief broke into the car twice when he/she did not find anything the first time.

Could it be someone that knows you that is breaking into your car.

I SECOND that! The stock Acura alarm is easily defeated - search the forum and you will see many stories of TLs being broken into without the Alarm going off. Once I got a Clifford system installed, the breakins stopped.

I disagree. My TL got hit 3 times and a loaner once . . . all they ever got was an empty laptop bag and sunglasses. They'll keep trying hoping you forget to remove your valuables.... and why not - the alarms don't perform like we would expect them to....

There are ways to tie in shock sensors to the factory alarm systems, there is likely a way to tie in a glass break sensor to(if that amount of shock doesn't set it off).

I agree. Or at least keep everything out of sight.

Broken in 2 times? You must have some valuables in plain sight. Are there that many break ins in CA?

I;ve had my car broken in 2 times within a 6 mo period. first time they tried to steal my radio but didnt succeed, 2nd time they were able to. make sure you leave nothing in your car, if you do make sure to hide it.

I think the fact that you live in a nice neighborhood is what causes shady characters from elsewhere to take advantage of this... They know the 'hood has plenty of potential targets..

My Prelude was broken into 4 times in one year at my wife's work. Then I sold it and bought the TL and she now drives a Maxima. No problems so far....knock on wood. I guess that since the Prelude had visable modifications on it and the windows were tinted that people thought there was stuff in it. Some of the best things that they stole were: #1 my ashtray #2 my prescription sunglasses (like they can use those)...I guess they will take everything!
