16000 miles and only two (1/2) flaws so far

I passed 16000 miles and came upon my second flaw on my car.

My first flaw was found a week after the purchase. The headlining drooped and it was properly epoxied into position by my dealer.

My second flaw was found when I was washing my car yesterday. The plastic piece just aft of right door handle (1" X 2" triangular piece that finishes the shape of door handle) popped off. Upon close inspection, the leading edge plastic tab that holds the piece in place does not have enough thickness. Consequently, the piece broke off and now I have a bear spot with piece of aluminum showing. My dealer said that they have to order the piece so I maybe driving around with this bear spot for few days.

Other than that, the care is still sweet. I do still have a glitch with my seat memory which accounts for the 1/2 flaw (forgets from time to time, like me). The car still handles great with plenty of acceleration and breaking. I've had my TL since Dec and I have to say that the experience has been wonderful. I hope all of you TLers enjoy the experience as much or more than I.

Thanks for your review. Just passed 4k with mine and zero issues. How are your tires wearing (I'm assuming EL42's)?

There is a TSB on the seat memory problem. They will replace the control unit. See this thread http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75525

Kinda glad to read this as the first time I had my car washed this same piece came off too...on BOTH sides. Dealer replaced with no problem.

2,300 miles and no issues.

Actually, one issue. I don't get to drive the car often enough. It's a weekend/trip car.

Friends give me a hard time because I drive my GS-R daily and let the TL and NSX sit in garage most of the time. Only normally pull them out on weekends also.

I jsut came back from the dealer wher I showed the service person the part. He said he had 3 of them in within last few weeks and they are all on back order. I also mentioned the memory seat and he too said that a TSB is out on this item. Meanwhile, I'm driving my NBP with little silver tab glaring out the right side - an eye sore. Thanks all for the feedback.

I've got 6500 miles and only a tiny squeak by the driver window. Other than that the car has no noises or rattles so that one squeak is incredibly annoying.

My wife's driver side back door handle had the same problem. Apparently it just fell of while driving. I hope no one saw it happen, as it would appear that the car was literally falling apart.
