'10 Mazdaspeed 3 Vs. 7th Gen Accord Sedan V6

Today this guy in what appeared to be an 7th gen Accord V6 kept tailing me in my MS3 down the freeway. We were in inside lane in a two-lane road and I wasn't able to go fast because cars in front me were blocking traffic. As the road finally turned into a two-lane ramp to get on the interstate he was right on my ass (excuse my language) and was lining up for an overtake at around 50+ mph. I was already holding on 4th gear and was waiting for his move. Uh Oh big mistake! he floored it. I floored it immediately thereafter. I quickly moved over to the inside lane (so I can pass the slow moving vehicles in front of me) and so did he. I kept pulling on him hard. I shifted to 5th at 5700 rpm and depress the gas pedal. At 100+ mph I pulled a bus and half or two lengths.. maybe more? You know, looking through the rear view mirror the objects show closer than they actually appear. I had to let off cause there were slow moving vehicles up ahead and the Accord finally caught me up at 100+. Anyways he quickly realized he was no match for me so he stopped tailing me and backed off. Apparently he didn't know what he was getting into. I wasn't surprised cause I knew what the outcome was going to be. I basically wasted my gas. Felt good though during the pull. That G-force was a fun experience. Don't mess with the MS3 from roll. Find the ones that are in your performance category. Btw, mine's bone stock. Don't know about his.

Thank you for reading.

A 7G Accord with a V6 MT is a different beast entirely.

I dont know about that "dont mess with an MS3 from a roll" line. Someone with an MS3 with an exhaust was tailing me off an exit ramp and revving. He attempted to go around me illegally as we entered the highway and I think he learned not to mess with something else from a roll

Nice kill on the original story. A 6MT Accord would have definitely kept up if driven properly.

I wouldn't say that about a stock MS3, but if they're anything like the turbo cobalts just tune and boltons and they're FAST in roll races. My room mate's cobalt SS traps 110-113 in the 1/4 mile and should dyno around 330-340whp. He still can't beat me down the track when I'm trapping 106-107 and running slicks... street tire failure!

If the MS3 is anything similar mod for mod, I wouldn't mess with them if they aren't stock. lol

NO NO BMW is what you don't mess with on a roll, haha. Either way nice kill MS3 isn't to bad of a car but the new ones with smiles are so ugly, otherwise I wouldn't mind owning one.

Mod for mod the MS3 is pretty close to the ss/tc IIRC...they are very close cars in terms of performance, but the launch control an nolift shift is just cheating

My bad, of course not all models. I raced my cousins 01 6MT 540i Sport and got spanked by bus lengths.

If I didn't have such a fear of its maintenance costs, I'd consider picking one up as a second car. The 540i is still my third favorite BMW behind the E39 M5 and E30 M3.

Pretty much what I expected. Keep the kills coming! Your MS3 traps about 7MPH faster than a stock 7th gen Auto Accord V6.

You should dude, the 5's are pretty good in reliability so our 7's. My friend has a 1995 740iL with 140k miles, other then suspension parts that need changing it's a beast and runs very good. Now 3's is what you stay away from, my friend had to change ALL hoses when he 70k miles on his 330ci cost him like 2,000

Nice kill. The V6 auto sedans trap around 94-95mph stock. I'd have expected the same results, nice job.

I'd really like to run you for fun, I think it'd be a good race (I have most bolt ons tho). I hear you say a lot of things about the MS3 and how it's a monster from a roll. I know it's quick, especially with such little mods. In stock form I wouldn't say it's a beast tho. With I/DP/E/Tune, I'm sure it'd back up your claim of being a monster from a roll

I ran my friends auto V6 Accord too. I had an extra passenger and 2 golf bags back when I had just I/Jppipe. It was the same outcome I don't pick on him anymore tho lol.
