Question 10,000K HID Bulb Install - Rockville Maryland

Quick question to all a-ziners with 3rd Gen TL. Anybody want to help me install two new HID bulbs on my KBP TL-S? Or can anyone refer me to a place to do them around Rockville, Maryland area? I called a place called car toyz II and they charge 75/hr of labor to do it. Anybody offering cheaper, I'm willing to pay cash! PM me directly if you want to do it yourself! ( i'll help, I just don't know what to take apart and the DIY thread looked confusing )

Where are you trying to install them? Fogs, high beams, lows?

yeah answer ifirahse's question, but either way, it's a very simple install. If you know what you're doing it'll take 15-30 minutes max.

Nice...
I installed ballinfizzle's fucking TEIN SUSPENSION for FREE... and guys here are charging $50 to take 15 minutes to pop in a few d2s bulbs.

That's what this community is all about eh?

I'd help you dude, but I won't install 10K bulbs. Your cutting the output of your headlights nearly in 1/2 for a gay purple hue...

Haha that made me laugh. No doubt on that. Hell if I was in that area I'd help you out for free. Plenty of people on here have helped out. Just returning the favor.

Hey everyone, I've got a 2008 TL Type-S and my MID is telling me that I'm low on gas.

Is there anyone in the LA area that can help me refuel my car? I'm willing to pay.

Stop bashing the OP, not everyone is willing to explore foreign territory....

I've actually cracked my oem bulb when pulling it out from the driver side, I was rushing..well learned my lesson, lol....

To the OP...my advice is to remove the battery, and go behind the wheel well...before you start doing it, just carefully examine each side. Have a friend over, so he can watch over you.

First time install will take you about 30-45 mins...without rushing. In my 00TL it was a breeze, 30 secs for each bulb, lol... my 08 TLS with tight space...it's a biach.

Follow the instructions that are in the 3G garage..they are perfect!

Good Luck.

PS If you were in NYC area, I would of done this for you for a cup of joe Peace.

The guy being "taught to fish" called his instructor an a-hole too... till he was able to catch his own eats.

and yes... 10000K bulbs typically have less output than HALOGEN bulbs... nearly 1/2 the lumen output of the stockers.

Have fun.

FYI, 10,000K DOES NOT HAVE A PURPLE HUE... it has a BLUE HUE...

That's why there are flavors... for all the different TASTES...

$50 is a little excessive though...

Why would I be kidding? Just because this is a community car forum doesn't mean all the labor should be free?

I need my head gasket replaced on my 92' Olds Cutlass - Wanna do it for free?

Car community forums offer FREE advice/How-To's and DIY's....not necessarily labor.

Congrats on breaking your bulb covers (if you twisted them).

The reasons why they were tight is because you failed to remove the small HEX bolt holding them in. Once that bolt is removed, they come off very easily.
