>>>1" drop w/ 19's<<<

I currently have 19's on my TL. Before I get a drop, I need some info.
Does anyone have pics of a TL, w/19's and a 1" drop? I'm hoping I can get some pics with Comptech and Eibach. I have heard there is a difference between the two even though they are both 1".
Thanks, hopeless in Sac

I know a couple of people with 19s and I am planning on getting them myself. They have had no rubbing issues with Comptech springs (not sure about Eibachs). The ride is slightly compromised as bigger rims with thinner tires will result in the bumps in the road being more pronounced.

if you wheels are rubbing, it is because of the wheels... NOT the springs.

Very nice, Automata. Makes me miss the Diamond Black BBS RGR's I had on my GS300. Love the wheels w/ the Anthracite.

Thanks! I would have loved to have gotten diamond black RS-GT's but I couldn't find them in the right offsett and they are pretty expensive. I can't say that I'm disapointed with the Volks though.

Have had NO problems what so ever with my wheels and tires. I went with the 245/35/19 when at the time most members where running 235/35/19. Boy am I glad I didn't listen to them. Have a buddy that also has a TL on 19's with the 235/35/19 and there is a difference in the ride.
I didn't have any problem with rubbing.

Nice choice on the wheels. I wish my Zenetti's were as light as your Volks

Although I don't have bigger tires on my TL yet, I plan to get 18's. I had a 97 C class Benz before and went from factory 15's (16's?) to z rated 18's. There is a definite difference. Handling and braking in my opinion were better, but the ride was less "cushy" and you could defnitely feel the road more and hear more road noise. Also, my Z rated low pro tires seemed to handle better in weather than the factory all seasons. I think that with the TL already having low profile tires, you won't notice a major detrimental difference in ride quality. In my opinion 18's would be a better compromise than 19's.....little easier riding, a lot more common to find, and you might get some rubbing with the 19's. Of course, if you stil have the EL-42's you should see a 180 degree turn for the better in almost all areas....

watts the main difference between the 245's and the 235's? wider? more protection for the edge of the rims?
