So the computer tells me I need an "A12" service. I phone my Acura dealer and they tell me 250.00 plus tax so it will be 280 something. Phone the Honda dealer just up the street here which is 3 times closer and they quote me 250 including tax. Dropped it off this morning, picked it up at noon all washed and the bill with tax came out to $213.00 Go figure.

Any idea why they can service my car so much cheaper? The Honda dealership is pretty new but it's huge!!! Not seen a showroom so big in my life...

 

well, you probably did not receive a loaner while your car was in service or any other "luxury" perks did you?
interesting enough, i had the opposite experience albeit it was for a different type of service. Honda dealer wanted $100 more than the local Acura dealer for a 30k service and they did less work?? at any rate, my appt for the 30k service is tomorrow and it is about $200 including tax and other BS fees.

 

No loaner, not that I asked for one, but did get a drop off and pick up at my office.
