I couldn't help but to laugh at this kid. I guess he was in his parents TLS. He is willing to try anything and I'm sure he trolls this site based on his ' I know it all attitude '. He is ready to jump on a termi and I am a fan of both cars, but someone else please tell him the a$$ kicking is going to recieve if he jumps on the Cobra. I hate to see the moron wreck and mess up a nice TLS.

This is about as funny as the guy that tried racing me in my Z06... he was driving a base 04-06 TL. He tried to race me from a few lights in a rather heavy traffic area, obviously I didnt bite. We got to another light and I motioned for him to roll his window down. I then proceeded to tell him that I also own a TL (Type S as a matter of fact) for my DD and that he was simply didnt stand a chance..... he didnt care, we left this light and I simply paced him as he stood on it, about halfway through my second gear (45mph+/-) I mashed it which resulted in the tires breaking loose and flying past this guy sideways instantly putting about 4-5 lengths on him by the time I powered into 3rd...... Next light and he wouldnt even look at me. Not sure what is wrong with some people. Why the hell would you try to race a car with ~150 more horse and weighs 500-600 lbs less? (my Z06 weighs 3060lbs with 1/4 tank and no driver, Im estimating the TL's weight)

 

I don't understand the whole not looking over and in a lot of cases, not even pulling all the way up to the next red light. People put way too much pride into racing and if that pride is based on TL quickness, you're not going to have a whole lot of it. If I got beat not only would I give a thumbs up but we would have to pull over as I would be curious what just beat me.

 

Makes you wonder what some of these people are smokin' while driving.

 

I like "racing" Ferraris, Corvettes, etc in my TL-S but just to see how bad they beat me and to see them in action. heheheh

 

lol..I always try to accelerate slowly so that people don't "misunderstand"....

 

^ I do that, too. Sometimes my car can be pretty loud, though, and I had an SLK280 mash it off the line when the light changed. Apparently it didn't matter to her that the intersection has two sets of street car tracks and was bumpy.

Yup me neither...I used to get a lot of those ppl when I had my supercharged GTO. After a race, they couldn't even look over or pull up even...especially ricers, after getting an ass whooping they still do a "ricer drive by" I never understood it...
