So apparently I bought an 08 in a color that only came on the 08. Question is, are the a-spec kits available anywhere, and can I get them not painted so I can have them color matched.

 

Some of the A-spec colors have been discontinued. You can get them from some vendors on the forum here or on Acura parts websites. I think there is still a group buy thread where you can get all the pieces for like $760. However, it does not come unpainted, you would have to get a painted one and have it painted to match if your color is discontinued.

I don't think there is any color exclusive to the 08 TL only. Every color available was for both 07 and 08. ASM, NBP, WDP, KBP (Type S), MRP, CBP....all 07 and 08 colors.

 

It is carbon bronze metallic, at least it is according to another site I found that's was for the paint codes. Code=YR562PX

 

Nope there is a color for 08 only, I bevieve its PMM Polish Metal Metalic or DMM. One is exclusive for 07 and the other for 08 and they only found on base
TL.

PMM NH737M is from the Base and 08.. Was my pick and dammit I have never had one doubt about it

If you look at the website the OP was referring to, both the Carbon Bronze Metallic and the Carbon Bronze Pearl both have the same color codes. I believe they are the same color.

Does the code on your car say YR562P or YR562PX?

It is yr563px, that's the issue I'm having with trying to order parts, I don't know exactly what the color is to order the right color. I'm about an hour and a half from the closest acura dealership, so when I head the direction next week I was going to ask them when I try to pick up the license plate plugs from them.

 

I'm going to bet they are the same color, but you could always call and ask or ask when you go by there. I have the YR562P but have never seen or heard of one being different then that.

 

Was going to call, figured if ask when I was there. But that makes sense, I'll call them now so I can ask what the plugs will cost.

 

Just saw my typo, YR562PX, not 563

 

So here's the answer I got from 2 dealerships, one in Reno and one in Los Angeles, the Reno dealership said they are the same thing and the LA dealership said if they had to replace any parts they would be carbon bronze pearl parts. As for the plugs, I have to order them online since the Reno dealership throws them away when they put the plates on and to order them is $60.

 

I have an 08 base carbon bronze pearl. My door sticker says YR562px. I've gotten a Type-s Aspec front lip YR562P and got a deck lid spoiler painted YR562P. They both match perfectly.

You can get the whole kit from Bruce (AckTl05) and get it painted. That's what I did for my RBP
