Yes, Please!!! I want to see the DIY pics and post just to get an idea of how much work is involved to replace the side markers and tails with the Type-S sides and tails.

there is nothing more to the tails then removing the rear bumper, and unbolting the stock lights, and swapping them with the new ones. and also swapping the LED cluster in the tails

if it wasn't for the mount on the bottom the bumper would not have to come off.

if you wanted to waste time, you can try to remove the 2 bolts with a long ass extension, thats if there is a gap in there to do reach up from the bottom of the bumper

i didn't remove the whole thing just loosened one side and pulled it off enough to get at those bottom bolts. installed light on that side and tightend. same procedure on the other side. works well

I think $52 or $53 shipped per side for the rear side markers from Tim. just call him.

FYI......

I only have 5 sets incoming for the first part of next week unsold. I took all that Acura had in stock, and I got all I could get coming from this batch. If you need them soon, make sure you order ASAP. It could be a few weeks before additional stock arrives beyond this last batch.

You don't have to, but it will make installing them a lot easier. Order from Time at Hondaacuraworld.com. He got them to me in like 3 days

Edit: Really, the only reason you need to remove the bumper is because there is a little mount on the bottom of the taillights underneath the bumper. The mount is held to the taillight by a phillips screw (which now that I think about it, I didn't need to take off ) and two 10mm bolts holding it down to the car.

so do you need to remove the bumper or not? i was looking at the type-s tail and the mounting screws in the trunk last night and i dont think that there is anyway around bumper removal.
someone suggested a long extension, but you would NEVER be able to get the bolts back in, even if you could get them off.

You don't have to, but it will make your life easier. It sounded like some people made the bumper flex a little to get at those two bolts on the bottom of the taillight (NOT the back) to avoid taking the bumper completely off.

yes, i replaced mine last night and there is NO way around it. you can either loosen one side and re-tighten or take it right off.

THE BUMPER SCREWS, BOLTS AND CLIPS MUST BE REMOVED TO REPLACE THE TAIL LENSES!

i recieved my type s tailights and just finished installing them.Let me tell you, this is a pain in the ass!!!theres a screw thats holding it on the bottom of the taillamp.so you would have to take off the bumper or just pop the top of the bumper off.then i had to swap my led board on the new tails, also the weather strips have to be swaped.when i put on the bumper i had big gaps on the side of the bumper!!!im so pissed,i have to take my car to a bodyshop ,hoepfully they can adjust it the right way.
