07 TL type s bolt ons

Hey guys new to this forum and the acura scene in general. I recently purchased a 2007 tl type s 6spd. Looking for a few pointers as far as getting some bolt ons and exterior accessories. I was driving a 2000 vw passat 1.8t but maintaining a german car was getting ridiculous. Heres some pics of the passat and the TL.

Passat:

And heres the TL. Only thing done so far is window tint just go the car 3 days ago. I got 5% all the way around with 45% on the windshield.

So i think next on the list will be a intake if i can decide on which one will fit the best and getting a black mesh grill with a type s badge on it along with a black hood molding. The chrome HAS to go. later this year hoping to slam it on tein or d2 coilovers with some bronze or black w/ red lip volks once i sell the vw. If money gets tight i might just get a friend to powder coat the type s wheels bronze and slam it that way for the time being. So if anyone knows any good sites or vendors please let me know. Also want to do some research on the A spec lip kit. any posts will help thanks

Welcome. nice TL.

As for exhaust, heeltoe is doing a group buy on ATLP Quad Exhaust and also discount on J-pipe if you buy with it.

Or, you can wait for RV6's true dual:

If you can get through Blackura's list of mods, you've made some progress

Nice pickup-a MT Type S-congrats! I do the aesthetic mod stuff myself. You can check out my Garage. If anything looks interesting, feel free to ask-I can hopefully point you in the right direction.

I found mine in New Orleans. Called the dealer and was making arrangements within 4 days to fly down and pick it up!

Most of the TL-S's for sale in Atlanta sold quicker than I could get on the phone or to the dealership to test drive it, let alone buy one.

I think most people are going with the AEM V2 for a CAI. Congrats on the TL-S and welcome to the best Acura forum on the planet, bar none

lol yea getting 5% on the windows is dark but when i got the windshield tinted it just looked so good. Im going to the police department down here and alot of my friends are cops so i should be okay staying away from tint tickets. Even if i get one, ill go to the acura dealership find a black tl with no tint take pics and email to my laywer and he gets it dropped every time lol.

NBP FTW! Most people like the AEM V2 cold air intake so you might want to look into that one. Did you ever got pulled over for those plates? Also are you Belgian?

thx, and no never pulled for the plates. Also i am not from belgian i purchased that plate from the VW dealership here in NC.

I checked out excelerate and i think i will be purchasing the V2 very soon. I will probably buy a mesh grille with a type s badge and hood molding to get rid of that ugly chrome on the front end 1st. Will also be debadging it soon probably same day i get the grille. So depending if my motorcycle stuff sells on craigslist quickly i should have the grille and v2 by in about a month. If i sell my other car also i might have some more money to play with

I love your tint, I love how dark it is. Can you tell a difference with the windshield 45%?

looking out no not much of a difference if any at all, but looking in a MAJOR diff, u prolly cant see my hand on the steering wheel when i pass people lol. Also when u tint the windshield it makes everything darker cuz the car is covered in tint from all 4 sides. 20% on the windows with 45% on the windshield is about as dark as just getting like 3% all the way around the car with nothing on the windshield.

@ ace ill hit u up soon as i get PM privileges.

I assume you're "hooked up" to pass annual NC safety and emissions inspection? Or, you['ve got an out-of-state registration. If not, good luck.

Looks cool. Just saying, it'll be hard to pass the inspection if it's required (and not hooked up).

yea i can get a car passed even if it is throwing codes. My passat has no cat just test 3in test pipe, and when i installed my FMIC it threw all kinds of codes lol. modding a german car was a bitchhhhhh. Theres a few ppl that will pass any car with any emission problems for a little extra cash around here which works out good for me and my friends who run exhaust with no cats.

I believe it was just the stamp from kamei which is the company that puts out alot of german aftermarket parts like FK automotive.

You may want to look up NVA-AV6 (PAUL), for information. He is located in VA and amazing with cars. He built his own 3.6 for this car that pushes 309WHP alone. Size that up with his custom M90 and your outtttt. All for the cost of around $8000.
