'07 TL-S Do I have brembo brake calipers

for some reason I'm having trouble with this. I have a 2007 TL - Type S. I'm replacing my brake pads and rotors. Do all type s cars have the brembo calipers? How do I tell?

I'm looking at tirerack and there are options for brakes with brembo calipers or OE calipers.

And regarding back brakes, there are 2 options also, some for drum style parking brake and some for an integrated parking brake?

it has "Acura" painted in white on it = Brembo

the rears have 2 types of pads, one for the disc and the other for the parking brake shoes which go inside the rotor hub (you cant see them).

so regarding the rear, does that mean that I need brakes for the integrated parking brake system?

typically you dont need to replace your parking brake unless you've had issues with it not holding the car--or you've been using it to brake while moving.

Parking brake only comes in to play when you're parked and still. Pick up pads for the rear discs.

also, my last question. would it look stupid if I bought slotted/drilled rotors only for the front?

It wont, since they do most of the braking anyway.

as far as running drilled/slotted rotors in general, imo i wouldnt. But that's just me.

I don't think it would look stupid but if you're doing front and rear pads and upgrading the front rotors you might as well replace the rear too if you have the extra money.

Yes!!

All 2007 & 2008 TL Type-S have Brembo 4-piston front brakes.

When buying pads and rotors for the 5-AT TL-S, you may need to be a little careful as some fitment guides think the 5-AT TL-S has standard TL brakes.

They DO NOT - they are exactly the same as the 6-MT Type-S AND the 6-MT '04 -'06.

Rears are the same on ALL TL and TL-S '04 - '08.
