Exactly. The money you spend on bolt ons will be almost equivalent of going Forced Induction, if you're modding for power.

Might as well do cosmetics and suspension mods.

A-Spec Kit, lighting mods, and shocks&springs/coils/air

A-Spec kit is usually the best mod to start with your first 1k

It's your car so the real question is what are you looking for e.g. performance, aesthetics, maintenance, etc

I think ggesq is a really good mod.. Steven Bell has been around for quite a while too but he's since got a Corvette so is busy modding the Corvette forums There's always Yumcha with his damn robots.. careful with the though..

If you go into Ramblings, there's a significant amount of mods there as well..

Honestly when it comes to mods, it's all personal preference. I try to stay on the good side of the 3G mods because I don't want to get but most all of them are pretty cool.

I would definitely start off with doing our V2 J-Pipe. It deletes the third cat for more power, but won't cause a CEL since the 3rd cat isn't monitored. You'll also most likely still pass emissions since your precats are still in place.

The first mod I would do is the camera mod.

But seriously, what are you looking for? Are you more of the performance guy, or a "looks" guy?

Take a look at the photo gallery, but the first thing is usually, coils, kit, tint, remove that sticker off the windshield.

MAINTENANCE 1ST ALWAYS

Window tint.

Lose the sticker.

Coilovers, A spec body kit, aftermarket wheels, cleared out headlights.

I would keep the engine completely stock besides maybe exhaust. Assuming you got an automatic. If you did happen to find yourself a rare 6 speed than by all means, performance mods are the way to go. There have been many on here before that dumped 5 grand into engine mods on the automatic platforms just to see 20-25 HP gains. NOT WORTH IT. but that's just me. Your car. do what you want

There was another thread with a UASquad guy that said they have to rock the sticker if they want to be part of that #squad.

OP, lots and lots of build threads out there. People have been modding this gen TL for 11 years now. as the others have said, decide what you want (power, stance, electrical/lighting, etc), decide on your budget, and then google that mod + 'Acurazine'. you'll almost definitely find a how-to, DIY, install, or 'where to buy' thread.

Welcome, and Good luck!

Remove the sticker on your windshield, then buy the A-Spec kit and centercaps.
