07 Switchblade Key

I received my key from FLBUSA (great work Pete), I had it cut which cost me $3.50, my problem is that when I turn the ignition it just turns the engine like it's trying to start but wont actually start.....I did program the remote and it fully operates doors, truck etc.......Anyone know what the problem may be???

Thanks

Chris D

you need to get every key you want to work with your car reprogrammed. There are chips inside that need to be programmed to tell your car its a valid key. You can probably get this done at the dealer. Bring all your keys.

You cant just "try that" - you need to take it somewhere to have that done, so far as programming the immobilizer chip inside the key. Frankly...the place you had the key cut should have done that for you. At $3.50 for a cut...sounds like you had it done at the hardware store? At any rate...yes...the imobilizer chip needs to be programmed to the car still. Any qualified locksmith with the hardware or Acura dealer can do this for you.

BTW...wrong section to post this in. Nothing about this key makes your car faster....therefore it is not a "performance" part or modification.
