The key should be able to open doors, trunk, and panic...everything except turn the car on...that's why the immobilizer chip has to be programmed...

if it wont turn then whoever cut it for you did it wrong.

plus if you didnt get the immobilizer programmed yet you can turn the key all day long and your car wont start.

Looks like you're going to have to get another key made...

since they did it wrong the first time, why would you want to give them a 2nd shot?

Switchblade Key

I have an 06 TL. I recently ordered an o7 blank key from an Acura dealer for $30.25 including tax. I sent it to kratschp in Florida to be milled. I then took it to the dealer to be cut and programmed. The dealer could not cut the key with the equipment he had on hand, because the 07 key and the milled key are not the same size. I took it to a locksmith, who cut the key for $ 25. The first attempt did not work, and I had to take it back. the second time, it worked properly. I then took it to the dealer for programming. That cost $ 49.00. The key works great in all locks and I really like it better than the standard key/remote.
