'07-'08 TL Type S Transmission

I know there are numerous threads discussing the transmission on the TL, but I was having trouble finding one focused on the 2007 / 2008 TL (and Type S in particular, if there is any difference?).

It is my understanding that in 2007 Acura updated the transmission so the 07/08 MY's are a bit more reliable. Is this true?

I have 60,000 miles on my 2007 and will start driving about 30,000 miles per year with a new job. I want to make sure everything is good to go.

I have read that the 3x3 transmission drain and fill is recommended. Is this simply draining and refilling the transmission after a short drive three times? Is there a filter I can replace as well?

I have not seen a DIY on the drain & refill. Can someone please post?

Thanks for any help!

07-08's have the redesigned RL tranny. it's superior to the previous models.

yes i would do a 3x3 drain and fill.

yes i would replace the pressure switches.

no there isn't an accessible filter on your model.

yes there are a ton of DIY's. the search function sucks on this forum, so just go to google and type in "whatever you want to know + acurazine" and BLAMO! you'll find a ton of threads.

I would think that putting 30k mostly highway miles wouldn't put a strain on any transmission since you're at a steady/constant speed. What do you guys think?

You are doing fine with the 07-08 TL AT since no one has ever complaint about the AT.
