Hey guys im fairly new on the forums. Im planning to get the 07-08 mirrors with the turn signals and put them onto my 05 TL. Anyone have a write up on how to do so?

few guys have done it... tried to search for you... failed

 

I did them for a couple of members and my car.... I dont know if anyone would do a clean write up with pics because the install is so dirty and close to impossible to get pics in some of the spots you have to mod in order to get a couple of wires through the door without seeing them and keeping the camera clean.

theres one wire u have to pull from the door to the cabin for each mirror. the rest is plug n play... theres a white wire and blue/red that are the signal circuit lines that u tap into at the fuse box drivers side kick panel.. make sure u test them b4 you tap into them and then make ur splice. enjoy, have fun, dont break anything. good luck.

Hello guys, new to this forum, just got rid of my 03 350Z (needed 4 seats) and got an 05 TL. Picked up the lights for $240 shipped on E-Bay (OEM, off a wrecked 07).

tomz_TL if you wire it could you post pictures here, so other member can see how its hook up.

 

look around there's always deal going on... price varies depending on the condition of the used one or pay premium for the brand spanking new one from the dealership... some can go as low as $60 each

the wiring is a bit tricky, mounting is a direct fit... i'll suggest to have it done professionally... panels and dash will have to be removed to add the extra 2 wires for the blinker... you might be able to tap into the front signal light wires... i took mine to a friend of mine who worked in the acura service dept. he wired mine just like the 07-08...

try ebay, junk yard, dealer... i don't think you're in a hurry to install it, so take your time, look around... one bound to turn up... check acuraoemparts.com for price... i got mine from ebay and hondacuraworld!!!

 

you really cant get good pics because of the limited space you have to run the cables.... it sux plus the job is messy and i doubt anyone would wanna touch their cam while doing it.

 

there is a set on ebay rightn now and the strating bid is $200.00

I have a 04 TL and i want to get the 07-08 Rear View Mirrors with signals also..darn it..they should've just come with the 04,05,and 06..Sounds complicating to install..and also expensive...gosh beauty is expensive..

 

Will the 07-08 side mirrors fit on an 04 TL becuase today i went up to the Acura dealer here to check the prices and they told me they will not fit on a 04 TL and they said the same about the tail lights. Is this true?

Well I got mine for $240 shipped but since they were the wrong color (silver, my 05 TL is anthracite), I asked my body man to spray em for me when I took the car in to correct a ding in the quarter panel - and he didn't charge me, but he didnt mount them either......so I have some work to do this weekend if time permits.

 

Does anyone know if the mirror retrofit from an 08 to an 05 requires swapping out the mirror base? You know, the part, the main mirror piece attaches to, where it swivels. In looking at the 08 mirror I bought, the base part that attaches to the car looks different than the one on my 05 mirror, and it has a chrome lip where the 05 doesn't. It doesn't look like I will be able to do it without swapping out the base......anyone??

 

chrome base??? I think you might've brought the mirror for the RL not TL.... the base are all the same.

 

It definitely has a chrome lip at the bottom. I have to check if this really is a TL and not an RL mirror, but it's marked as such by the yard that sold them to me.

 

Just checked......looks the the yard sold me RL mirrors......damn! Thanks for the headsup psheu.........will try to get my $$ back.
