06 tl at vs lexus es300
i was at the stoplight and they nearly rear ended me... i was in front of the pact i knew they wanted to go fast so i immediately slammed the gas with vsa off when it turned green. they were playing because i saw them change lanes but i quickly put bus lengths at them by 90mph. even with my head start i still believe i would have put bus lengths

es300's are slow. I think they have like 210hp. The ES330 is a bit better, but I believe they are still rated at 225hp. But the ES350 is another story, it has 272hp.
i test drove a es330 back in 05 before i bought my 05 TL and IMHO the es was a boulevard cruiser compared to the TL. recently, i got to drive the es350- much more hp and torque but still a cruiser.
The ES300 has nothing on the TL when it comes to performance.
Funny story: While driving our minivan, some young punk in a 2G ES300 decided to show how "quick" is ES was by coming from behind me to beat me to a 2-1 merge...which is not that difficult seeing as my 6 y/o van has 170hp.
A few weeks later I am at a stop light in my 02 Maxima when this same moron pulls up next to me. Long story short: light turns green, we both chirp and I put a few bus legnths on him by the time I hit 70mph. Of course, he does the ricer flyby when it was all said and done.
The only ES that has any prowess is the current generation ES350. The rest just need to stick with the slow rollin'.
