'06 TL-Is this a good buy ?

Have a chance to get a 06 TL with 116k on it for 10000. Serviced at Rick Case Acura in Ft Lauderdale. Timing belt and water pump done at 100k. All service done at this dealer. Still like the 07 model change features, but does this sounds like a good buy ?
Thanks in advance

It depends on the condition of the interior and exterior ?

If its in good shape and the seats are good, then its a good deal.

Also check how many owners it had?
If it had 1 owner that did alot of traveling it might be a great deal ?

Does it have Navigation ?

^What he said, it depends on the condition.
If it looks good, try and work them down to 9500.

Get a 6 speed if you really want 1 or you will regret it later. But is sounds like it's well maintained and a great deal.

imo you might regret not getting a 07-08 if you like the updated look over the 04-06 models.

But it does sound like a good buy, especially if it has navigation.

You can switch out the 3rd / 4th pressure switches way easier in the 2006 TL

If TL w. Nav = great deal
If TL no. Nav = then sub stellar deal.

Depends on your budget. It will be hard for you to get a decent 07-08 for $10K. If you can afford more then get the 07-08. If you cannot then that car sounds like a good deal for those miles. Sounds like the service is all good.

What color? Navi? Clean Carfax?

Depends on what you want. If you want a 6MT then 07-08 is out Unless you fork over the dough for a Type S. If you aren't limited to $10-12K then go after a 07-08 if that's what you want

6MT? What's that? I'm also looking to buy a TL. Why are 07 and 08s better?

I've also come across a 07 Type S with a rebuilt title. Stay clear? It is $16K with 75k miles. Morracan Red. Looks good in pics.

Well, I guess you don't hang out here too much since this is just your 3d post since joining 8 years ago.

6MT = 6-speed manual transmission, v. 5A or 5AT (5-speed auto trans).
Manuals were only available on the Type-S in '07 and '08.

The '07 and '08 have a few more features-- rear view cameras on the Navi versions, turn signals on the mirrors, a slightly different instrument panel, different front and rear bumper covers and fog lights, etc. Most people prefer those to the '04-'06 TL, but not all of us. The suspensions on the regular '07 and '08 TL are tuned a little softer, too.

I'd avoid the branded or salvage title if resale is a concern or if I wasn't familiar with spotting and evaluating collision repairs.

3 posts in 8 years... Yeah, I've got to catch up. Wife totalled my 98 RL. Other car is an 2003 MDX. So, we're an Acura family. TL will be my next car.

You can't go wrong with the TL.

Let's also not forget that the 07-08 TL's have upgraded ELS stereo's to that can read MP3/WMA disc's (255 songs max per disc), also has Dolby II virtual surround for converting 2-channel music into 5-channels, and has an AUX jack to play iPOD or Zune/MP3 player. My mom had an 06TL back in 2005 and these added upgrades to the stereo in my 08' are very noticeable.

That all said if you choose to get a 04-06, you can burn close to 100 songs (not mp3/wma) to a DVD-R to have access to as many as 600 songs in your player at a time.

07-08 are better but if you can't afford then I would say go with the 04-06.
