I've used the search feature and can't seem to find a solid answer. I need to replace my shifter on my car. I've found people saying that the thread is 10x1.5
And some say it's 8x1.25. Can someone please help me out and give me the correct answer?

I believe 10x1.5 is for 6mt and 8x1.25 is for auto.

How certain are you that it's 8x1.25?

go to your local hardware store and buy a nut with that thread spacing and if it screws on, you have your answer.

He gave you the two possible sizes-- one is for MT, the other for AT.... Nuts that thread spacing and size can't be more than about $.70 a piece- spend the buck fifty and get your answer. Sorry for trying to provide a logical solution to your question. Of course, this might be asking you to put too much effort into finding your own answer.
