05'tl 6spd 1/4 mile :) :)
Went to the zMax drag strip over in concord and was able to pull of a 14.29@99.87mph!
I don't have a scanner or any way to put the time slip up right now, I'll get it as soon as possible though!
R/T .226
60' 2.292
330 6.198
1/8 9.347
MPH 78.88
1000 12.027
1/4 14.290
MPH 99.87
Pretty much stock TL with some better tires I think I can do just a little better?? hopefully! I launched at around 2.5K. Opinions welcome on how I can further improve my 60' time

Good stuff man, 14.2 is really good!
I can't believe you're pulling 99.87mph ETs with a nearly stock TL! How were the conditions?

It was pretty cool, the temp was in the low 60's. Almost no crosswind and the trap was pretty sticky. I'm pretty close to 100mph I'd love to see it happen. I think with the ATLP J-pipe I'll be able to do it!

Nice time and great trap speed!

Once I get some new tires I'll be looking to improve my time
Question: I lowered my tire pressure to 32 PSI in the front for the run, what if I raise it just a little bit, could I see a higher trap speed?? Maybe break 100 MPH??
Thanks for the support and comments

I'll be at the track this Friday again so I'll try something different. I usually launch at around 2.5K, what if I do it at 4K, could that improve my 60'??
I have some very shitty tires called SUNNY They only have like 10K miles on them but they are so freaking loud!! The dealer put them on and now I'm just waiting to get some rims, then I'll switch out the tires.

lol, you probably think he has a Type S because his username is types-09...
SUNNY...never heard of that...seems like you are traction limited..anyways, good luck and record it if you can!

Launch is everything. I wish I went to the track when my car was stock. Remember though, type-s09 had tires and also TB spacer when he ran at the track, not just intake. I'm not denoting his time at all! I'm just saying..
With a low 2.1 60' you could probably see 13.9. I need to do the same thing, work on my 60'.

I was right. I told ya the TL 6MT's can do very low 14's stock and at 99~ 100 mph.
Good job, OP. You've done it at 60F and guessing mild humidity.. With colder and dry weather your car will run faster. The only draw back would be the grip... Concentrate on the traction.

You can also consider Car & Driver pulled a 14.3 @ 99 on an A-spec. Motor Trend a 14.25 @ 97.81, also an A-spec. The normal version 6MT is usually a consistant 14.4 @ 97-99 mph, but 14.2's have been done. When you consider normal variations in track, temperature, elevation, driver, tires, and even the car itself, this all seems pretty normal.
Going back to the J32 engine, we also found that it makes the car a stellar performer at the drag strip, even with the hindrance of FWD. We ripped off repeated 14.4 runs in the 97-98 mph range until we finally managed to nail a nearly perfect launch and extract a 14.20 @ 98 mph pass with a 2.16 60 ft. All this in a 3500 lbs car with half a tank of gas, 200+ lbs of driver and camera equipment on factory tires at stock pressures. That's right, we didn't even drop the tire pressure. We performed our dragstrip testing at Montgomery Motorsports Park in Montgomery, AL. The elevation was about 100 ft and temps were in the 55-60 F range.

Based on your posting *history*, you are the Honda Accord fan boy. Because you own one, you try to justify everything you possibly can. You think it's a Honda supercar....
Stop talking like a little boy. How old are you son? Read the message below. Obviously you went dead quiet after this guy posted the following message.
Thats what you said. You didn't say near stock. You said stock. You were wrong! I have never seen a stock TL pull off those numbers bone stock unless you can find a timeslip for one.

Motor Trend and Car and Driver don't count. I thought you were the one who was really against mag racing!l lol. Those are not real world times. They are timed by their equipment. They give us an idea of what he car will run in the real world but its not running the car down the track.
You still haven't found a timeslip for me manual transmission!
