One thing my Bonneville has is an air pump built into the trunk. Nobody else has it and I have found it to be one of the most useful items ever. I know you can buy them but nothing is more convenient than having it built in.

Auto lock is definitely available and programmable. You can set it on or off and can set when and how you'd like it to unlock and lock.

The first thing I would change is the front end. The front bumper is butt ugly. It should look classier...like the TSX. And auto-headlignts are a no-brainer in this class.

1. OnStar
2. AWD
3. Fold Down Rear seats
4. Auto Sunshade rear, manual rear sides
5. Ventilated Seats
6. Heated Steering wheel
7. Apparently better leather
8. Better Trip computer placed in Nav screen
9. Apparently Better NAV Screen resolution
10. Side lamp blink with turn signal indicator
11. Tire Pressure Monitor
12. Run Flat Tires
13. Wider tire choices from OEM with different rims (like 18" but not for $1200)
14. Compass in rearview mirror with outside temp there too
15. DVD LCD's in headrests with load/controll in rear
16. SACD and MP3's with ID Tag displayed (MP3's would be easy to do)
17. External keypad (I use the one on my Explorer weekly)
18. smartkey instead of fob
19. Driver control of Windows when Locked
20. Fix front bumper (get rid of Acura)
21. Fix front grill
22. Less steering boost
23. HUD for Navi
24. Autolevel and steering headlights

OK - so I'll wait for the RL or buy a 5 series (if they ever put bluetooth in it and a 6 disc in dash changer! They could fix the 'Idrive' while they're at it and lower the price!)

1. Get rid of matte chrome on exterior and replace with thin shiny chrome
3. Replace Chysler/Ford Truck-style grill with a nice RL-style grill.
Very good, my exterior issues too.

1) auto on/off, auto-leveling headlights (like everyone else)
2) more 6 speed manuals
3) white/ebony combo
4) HPT with auto trans
5) integrated key fob

The new TL really doesn't have auto headlights?

Actually I'm probably one of the few people who DOESN'T want auto headlights (approaching a security guard at night, idling in a parking lot, etc). This is sounding more and more like my perfect ride!

I guess I can understand the auto headlights, but there should be a way to have a "parking lights only" override if you want.

There is. The MDX (2003 at least) has four settings, Off, Parking, On, and Auto. Best of all worlds.

Yes, but then (1) you get that annoying chime with the door open and (2) Your Navi must be manually shifted out of night mode (either by choosing day mode, or maxing the dash brightness - either way you have to do something manually, so you might as well turn the lights off and avoid the chime).

Recently got a Mercedes and it has an auto dimming driver's side side-view mirror. Pretty cool, and probably not expensive to add.

I'd like to see the '05 TL be able to play regular (i.e. video) DVDs while the car is in park.

The TL 04 has an auto dimming side DRIVERS and PASSENGERS mirror.. my dealer told me.... and of course now I notice it, although it seems to be undocumented!

Takes some getting used to without bright lights in your eyes!

I'm with everyone else who said power/heated/memory steering wheel and auto headlights,... Also would like when you open the door for the steering wheel to go all the way up and the drivers seat to go back so you can get in easier.. I know the GS series Lexus has that and I like it.. I also like the turn signal side mirrors that the TSX has.. I would also like the TL to have a key like the Lexus has where the buttons are on the key instead of having a key and a key pad.. Also correct me if I'm wrong but I know if you hold the unlock button the windows all go down and the sunroof opens but do they all go up and close when you hold the lock key?? If not I would like that feature too..

No. You put the key in the lock and hold it to the lock position and it closes everything.
