Does anybody know what other exhaust are compatible with my 3rd gen tl they told me the 09 exhaust fits is it true!?

 

Welcome to Acurazine! The '09 TL exhaust will not be a direct fit with a 04-08 TL. Unless you do the A-SPEC lip kit or cut up your rear bumper, you'll only be able to fit a 04-08 single tip base TL exhaust.

Our exhaust is a bolt on system. If you just purchased a set of mufflers, you'll have to cut your old mufflers out and weld the new ones in place. There are plenty of threads on here in regard to exhaust modification and reviews.

Any catback system will be bolt on...ATLP, XLR8, Endlessrpm, those are all popular for the TL. They all come in dual tip (for base) or quad tip (for Type S). You can fit quads on the base but it requires cutting or getting the Type S bumper
