After all the problems with the prior gen tls,you would think Honda/Acura would have made a bulletproof tranny for the new body 04 tls.. If failures of the new tranny start comming up and these recalls are for real. I am completely through with Acura and i think they shut terminate them selves from the automovile industry,its a disgrace that they cant build a damn tranny for there lives.

I will have a little more patience and than its time for the Lemon Law.
Im no sucker to invest 36k and have problems with the tranny while making monthly payments.

I currently am not having any issues at all with my tranny.
But the letter about the recall on 04tl trannys is alarming,knowing there
past history with trannys and the tls. Wouldnt you say?
I am starting to think that TL stands for Transmission Lacking.

I wouldn't go that far just yet. The recall only affects early models and after the fix it should be just fine. I dont think Acura is willing to have people invest this much money to have problems down the road. If that is in fact the truth, then they would lose a lot of loyal customers going forward.

So let me get this straight.... Your not having any issues with your tranny, yet you say you'll be a bit more patient before you use the Lemon Law?

1.) Patience for what? Your dont have any issues, atleast with your car.
2.) Has your transmission failed more than three times for you to consider the Lemon Law?
3.) Relax!
