My 04 TL has a strange thing happen.

The passenger window sometimes goes and up down a few times before it will actually close.

Its like its possessed. What is going on? Ideas?

My car does the same thing and it started recently i also have an 04 TL and its only the passenger window as well and i searched but no one had this problem before

I had that happen and took it to the dealer. They fixed it and said it was the window regulator. So if you're still under warranty, take it in. I think it's a relatively quick fix. Hope that helps.

Sorry, just saw that you both had 04's so probably no warranty. I'm not sure how much it would be to fix, but that is exactly what happened to my car.

do you guys have window visors installed? I have an 04 as well and this happened to me too but it was right after I installed my visors. Turns out I didn't put the rubber piece back around the window all the way and that was causing it to go back down. I fixed it and have not had the problem since.

If you press the button to put the window up, and it detects somethign in its path, it'll go back down. This is to prevent it from squishing your fingers. My guess is there is something fooling the sensors into thinking that there is something there, spiderwebs or something. Try cleaning all around the window.

I had this problem, took it to the dealer and they said it was the window regulator. Replaced the regulator and it works fine now.

I have an '04, the same thing happened to me. The dealer replaced the window regulator under warranty, and everything is good now.
