Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying a car for my brother. (A TL just like mine ) I want to know if buying one with a perfect carfax at 93000 miles will last for about 3 years? I know I'll need to changing the timing belt, and spark plugs. Will that be an easy fix and is it worth 12,500 to get the TL. It is a 5AT no navi.

Certainly depends on the mileage it will be driven in the next 3 years along with the care. You'll have at least $13500 in the car after the belt replacement. I'd say it's on the top end of the price range, but if it is excellent condition and needs no other work or repairs, it would be worth the money. Check all the vin numbers on the body panels to be sure.

 

Put the car on a lift and make sure the half shaft seals arent leaking as well. Just replaced a half shaft in my 04 with 81,000 miles a week ago.
