04 TL price

I was given a price of $33995 for a 04 tl with NAV, which is $1200 off of sticker. This included the destination charge of $545.00. I am in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. The only other dealer in town would only take $250 off of the sticker. I have gotten internet pricing from some surrounding cities, Lexington, Louisville and Indianapolis and they all want either sticker or will only knock a couple hundred off of the price. Does this sound right??

Thats not the worse price i have seen around. I think the best on the board so far is 32,800. I was given 33,200 + tax. Shop around to see who wants to get your business.

I've a 6MT w/NAV on order for $32,200 + TTL (includes transpo). Found a buyer for my other vehicle, so I'm golden... it's due in by July 15th (so they say). If they find another they can trade for sooner, I'll pay $32,900.

I live in Austin TX and would like to get a 6-MT with NAVI. Where did you go for this deal, and who was the salesman?

Thanks,

Sounds awfully low man...that's only $80 over INVOICE. I am not calling you a liar, just be very attentive to what they call "TT&L" when it comes down to the final deal. A lot of dealers quote some really good prices and then have all of these mystery fees to make up some of the cost.

I think that the best deal on a navi car that I have seen on here was are around $32,700 to $32,800.

Good luck...I hope you can get that price.

I paid $32.8k OTD for a non-Nav. That included the non-negotiable $399 "processing" fee. Included all other taxes, titling, fees.

I think I got my TL for a great price. I paid $32,800 for 5AT With Navi. This price included everything except tax, tag and title. However, I had to walk off the lot to get it. I actually offered $32,500 - which I new was pretty low. They refused, so I left. When the sales manager came running out to the parking lot, I knew I was about to get a deal.

Some things I noticed about getting the lowest price:
1) It makes a big difference if the car you want is on their lot. The dealer seems to be much more receptive to negotiations when they get to move a product out of their inventory.
2) I had heard that waiting until the last day(s) of the month is beneficial as well. This seemed to work in my favor as I had hoped.
3) I had a "story". I bought my TL the weekend BEFORE Memorial Day weekend. I told the sales manager that I had a list of all Acura dealers in my state which I got from the Acura web site; and that I had intended on sending a broadcast fax to all these dealers to find the price I wanted. Since the next weekend was Memorial Day weekend, I explained how my wife and I were planning a road trip anyway, so that if any dealer in the state would accept my offer, I would gladly drive over and accept delivery. The next thing I know they’re running out the front door to get me back inside.

Finally, I would think you are in a strong position to get a good deal for two additional reasons:
1) The closer we get to the release of a 2005 model, the more flexible they become in selling 2004s.
2) You are in the same state as the assembly facility that built the car. It seems to me that the delivery charges for a dealer in Ohio would be substantially less than a dealer in my state, Florida. I am only guessing on this one.

That’s my .02, good luck!

Yano,
I believe i read some were that delivery charge is the same for someone in ohio to someone in California. This is supposed to give all dealers and equal shot at selling the car.

Oh, I guess that makes sense.

I find it amusing when the dealers come up with all these various line item charges to get the price they want. My dealer was adding in "advertising costs" into the final price. I relaize that this is actually quite common for a dealer to do. I just can't remember the last time I saw a TV commercial for an Acura TL. I do, however, see plenty of Acura ads in my local paper. I have also seen the TSX on TV ads recently.

I used to hate the song and dance of buying a car and negotiating a price. Now I am actually starting to get a kick out of it. Like the way the salesman has to keep going back and forth to a manager for approval.

I also think having some cash in hand helps in leveraging the deal you want. For what it's worth, I also did NOT have a trade-in.

I am going to have to agree that Havok's price is a tad too low (especially for a car that needs to be special ordered). Had you mentioned it was a 5at, I could agree, but not for a 6mt.

Once that car hits ground you may find that the numbers magically change!!

Not doubting you, just warning you!

If you do get this price....

I'm picking up a 5AT + Navi today...paid $33,695. For some reason, the dealer was a lot more willing to give me more for my trade than to budge on the TL price.

It's not the best deal ever, but I think it's good. Plus, I don't have to wait for the car. Went last Saturday to test drive and talk numbers...just happened they had what I wanted: Anthracite/Ebony Navi, fresh off the truck the night before...still had the tape and plastic on it.

I just picked mine up Saturday - 6MT / AM / ebony / wheel locks / splash guards - $33,165 + tax + tags.

I also bought the 18" OEM alloys and Pirellis from a different dealer and Tire rack (respectively) - dealer installed them at delivery for free.

It is low and it is for real. I'm quite excited about it. I can wait out the car, but they are telling me they can get me into a 6MT/NAV Anthracite/Ebony much quicker. I'm not sure I want to do that as I really like the wood accents in the other color interiors and don't dig the "carbon fiber" look too much... Plus it gets hotter than hell down here in Texas and a black interior can be an oven...

$ 32800 for a nav car is a great deal! I haven't heard of anyone in California getting that kind of deal. I would have gone for a Nav car at that price. I paid $ 31,700 for a non-nav car althogh it did come with about $ 500 worth of add-ons. Dealer would not budge off of MSRP on Nav cars. You are right about dealing for cars on the lot and at end of month.

I was trying to buy a NBP with Ebony Auto Nav at my local dealer about 3 weeks ago. They wouldn't come off list price and had about $2,000 worth of other (mystery stuff) built into the price. The sales manager wouldn't come out and talk with me and the sales person couldn't explain anything. All he could show us is that he can get our payment where we were asking... Yeah, at 66 Months. What a joke that was. I tried over and over but they wouldn't explain ANY of the details in the price. Just wanted to know if we had a deal, so we walked out on them. I want that car too... I guess I'll have to head down to Southern California for one...
