I have heard that jet does an ECU reflash worth about 8 hp, I don't know if that is to the wheels though......THe exhaust everyone has been talking about is the comptech, I believe. You alsoneed to check on a rear swaybar.

your best bang for the buck is to improve intake and exhaust, get slightly larger fuel injectors, then add a dry or wet NoS nozzle to the intake. i would wisely choose a wet NoS fogger nozzle and add 75 or 100HP jets.

critical thing to do is after all your mods, get the ecu remapped. the combo of larger injectors with a better breathing will balance each other, but a remap can tune the curves precisely.

with better breathing you can extract more power from the motor, then when you need a snap in your neck you hit the NoS.

Just to add....Comptech has just released a rear sway bar, and is in theory going to release a supercharger before the end of the month.

I went with the NOS fogger system. Can't even come close to say how much of a difference it makes...WOW!

i dont really know anything about how nos works- how much does it cost to buy and install, how is it set up, i know there are different types (wet/dry), but do both only come into play when you press the nos button/put the throttle wide open, or does it come in through the entire powerband. thanks a lot for the responses

there are DIY kits available. i made my own dual fogger system on my 76' TA.

a fogger nozzle has 2 inputs, one for gas and one for NoS. both input flows are controlled by solenoids (one for gas and one for NoS). the fogger nozzle mixes the 2 as it exits the nozzle in your intake. this is the "wet" system.

if you want dry, i've seen many setups where the NoS is injected right into the airbox, but dry can make your engine run real lean when you get up into the 100-150 hp range, hence why bigger injectors are needed are are usually rigged so that when NoS is on injectors are wide open.

both setups are used WOT while rpms are up. NoS also usually requires some timing changes while NoS is activated, but smaller doses around 50-75hp should be ok with the ecu.

if you want smooth power boost throughout, you need a supercharger. if you want all out power you need turbo. if you want to run 1/4 mile race you need super/NoS or turbo/Nos setup.

fogger is the easiest way to get the best from NoS. my guess, simple kit will run you $400 or so.

I believe the only one who got it done so far is MStyle and one other person who's name eludes me. dcarlinf1 also got his, but he didn't install it yet.

I'm getting mine installed on August 27th.

Good deal thanks Ali! Hopefully I will still have the car.....as hurricane Charlie is going to be rolling through town in less than 5 hours. Fear not fellow TL owners she is safely tucked away in the garage!

Talk about dedication, we have a hurricane rolling through and I am on the boards
