04 TL 6sp MT with NAV, 100k miles, how much is it worth?

Or should I even think about paying that much for a car with 100k miles. The 105k service is about to come up. Is 13k including tax, title and license too high? It'd make the selling price roughly 11.8k? And the smaller dealership offers a 30 day warranty else I'd have to pay 800 for 3 years.

KBB is $15765 which I believe to be high, so for $13,000 including taxes etc, it's not a bad deal as long as the TL is in great condition. You'll be spending @ $1000 on the 105K service, unless you can do the work yourself, and you certainly don't want to shell out another $600 for tires if they are needed. Check the trans/clutch very closely.

ok thanks how do I check out the clutch/transmission. Find a hill a see if revs instead of catching when I change gears?

i just pirchaced my 05 a spec 6spd with 90k for $17k at a dealer. i know its an 05 with 10k less, but still may help you out. and mine is in as good of condition as any 50k car, so i'm sure that affected the price a bit too....

I just purchased my 05 6mt with 76k for 14,900. It was in very good condition with mostly highway miles. Hope that helps give you an idea.

Seems like a good deal assuming the car is in good condition, even after you pay $1500 for the timing belt and water pump change it's still not that bad of a deal. Especially when you consider that 6MTs with navi are pretty rare. I think I read somewhere that only 1 out of 40 3G TLs came with the 6MT/navi combo.

I know mine isnt 6MT but I paid 13k for an 04 with 70k miles w/ nav. Through private sale though so no warranty.

13k for car thru private seller, but what about after registration fees and everything else needed?

100K miles, $13,000, $1,500 on new tires and timing belt job in just 5000 miles= 14,500 for a 04 6mt with 105K miles. i dont think its worth it, you can find a car with alot less milage for around the same price.

all this said if you want a 6mt with navi RIGHT NOW!!, jump on it.

Low mileage doesn't neccesarily mean the car is in better condition. I'd much rather have a higher mileage car that was properly maintained than a low mileage car that was beaten on and never maintained.

Check service bills if the car came with it, look to see that the car has been properly maintained. Check the VIN with the dealer to see if there is a service history. Looks for signs of body repairs, etc, etc....

Arm yourself with as much info as possible to make an informed decision.

If you can only afford $12-15K buy a newer less expensive car...you will be better off in the long run.

25,000 miles a year is a lot of use. There is a reason you get wacked on a lease if you go over 10-12,000 miles a year.

I would pass, I bought my 04 about 5-6 months ago for $13,000 with only 60K on it. It is a manual also. Does not have navi, but navi only raises the value about $400-700.
