04 TL 3rd gear pressure switch

04 TL auto base...3rd gear pressure switch failure symptoms,,, what have you all experienced? My car runs, shifts everyway perfectly, just D light sometimes blinks. I'm putting in a new switch and changing fluid 3X's.

if D light is flashing sometimes then you have a pending DTC code. Get the code read first.

If your car is shifting perfectly, I doubt it's a 3rd or 4th gear pressure switch. Agree with above, check the code first.

My car, a 2004 TL, at about 190K miles, I was experiencing the 3rd gear shudder, a shake or hesitation in third gear just before shifting into 4th gear. It started as an intermittent problem, generally occurring as the car was warming up. First time it happened, I thought the shaking was me driving over a rough patch of road. Over time, it began to happen more often, and became more pronounced. There were no warning lights, and no flashing D light.

Had the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches replaced, and did a simple drain and fill with DW-1. Wow, what a difference. 3rd gear shudder gone! And I was also previously having hard/clunky shifts at part throttle conditions...that problem was also gone with the replacement of the pressure switches, and drain and fill of transmission fluid. Now, it shifts perfectly!!!

Nice! If you only did one simple drain and fill, be sure to get 6 more quarts for another two drain and fills to complete the 3x3 change.

So I have seen that from 2018 onwards MDX wheel PCD is again 5x120 very much like the 2G and dissimilar to the 3G which has 5x114.3 Does this mean a 2018+ wheel could be an immediate fit on my 2011?
