'04 at invoice or wait for '05?

I started looking at the TL soon after they came out. At the time I ended up not getting a new car and am now back in the market. I have the chance to purchase an 04 at invoice but I'm wondering if it would be better now to wait until the '05s arrive.

From what I have seen on this board an '04 at invoice would be a very good price, but considering a month from now th '05s arrive, I'm wondering if any savings will be lost in a couple years when the '04 model will be looked at as a year older, not a month older as is now the case. It doesn't look like there are any real changes coming in '05 (though information seems scarce) so I guess it's strictly a question of pricing.

So I come to the experts here on acura-tl.com. What do you think???

go for the 04 at invoice... i have been searching around for that and can't seem to find it anywhere. What dealer are you talking to? The best I could get on a 6MT with navi is 1500 off MSRP(If he can find one) and that is in Kansas. haha

Welcome to the forum...

Navi or non-Navi?

non-Navi around invoice could be normal.

If Navi with invoice price and some additional accessories, this is the best price you could get so far.

No one could confirm any new features in 05TL yet.

Wait...

I am in the same situation. I am going to wait till the 05 comes out. Just to see if there are any differences. If there is then, my dealer said the price will only be about 3% different. As far as resale value, your better getting the 05, since second years always are worth more, but thats only if you plan on selling it within like 6 years.

The I want that factor.. then when you see the 05, your always going to say.. I should have waited a few more weeks. Yet if you wait and there is no change.. jump on the invoice deal... and share where you got it

FYI: When the TL first came out the sticker price had "side turn signals on mirrors" as a standard option.. but, when they were manufactured the dealers needed to scratch out that option.. so this may be something for the 05.

I am also trying to sell my Huyndai first too anyone intersested?

Navi at invoice - good deal.

non-Navi at invoice - wait for 2005.

Speaking of the invoice price and MSRP, what is the invoice price for an 04TL w/ Navi/Automatic? And also what is the MSRP? If anyone knows please let me know. Or if you know a website where i could get this information it would be helpful. Thanks in advance

Is the invoice quote for Navi, too.? Was is a TL on the lot? If yes -- what colors?

If you plan to keep the car a long time(over five years) and put a lot of miles on it, the '04 is the better idea.

Knowing my past history (4 new vehicles in the past 8 years + 2 for my gf) it's doubtful I'll keep the car very long. So from a resale perspective, the '05 may be a better deal for me. It all depends on the deal though, because enough off the car up front and it offsets the difference on the back end of the deal.

As to the w/nav or w/o, the price is good on either and no they do not have any 6 spd models in inventory but have a few coming in. I'm curious why some of you feel invoice is a better deal on nav models than non-nav?

My guess is as we get closer to the arrival of the '05s it will be pretty easy to find deals on '04s, maybe even going below invoice when both are sitting on the lots.
