04 6 speed rims

just lowered the car and put 18's on it, only to find out that my rim an 18 x 7.5 w/+45 mm offset (same as stock) will not fit on the front, because of the calipers. anyone have any ideas on how to make it work. also any info about offset would be great too. pics coming soon.

where is it not clearing? i can't imagine a 18 inch wheel not clearing the calipers even if its the brembos.

its the 18 inch motegi mr7 and its rubbing before you can even get the rim all the way on the lugs.... would need a 3/4 inch spacer to make it work but..... not into that at all

Ya, I've tried 18" Volks and they also didn't fit. You might want to try spacers, however, this will throw off the wheel offset, but will give you caliper to wheel face clearance.

yes, it's very hard to find wheels that fit this car. I finally was able to find a set of 19" x 8.5" HRE's that actually have a ton of space and a 38mm offset.

yes, but it also depends on the rim. Some rims are made for "big" brakes, but also retain the proper offsets. Your better quality rims like Most Volks, HRE, BBS, Work, SSR, and etc, make room for the bigger brakes. Look at discounttiredirect. com and tirerack. com for rims and then shop around.

Unfortunately, from what I've found thus far most of the decent looking rims at Discount tire direct and tirerack are heavy as all get out (at least the nice looking wheel that will actually fit over the brembos).
