I'm looking into buying a 2006 ASM TL. When I went to look at one last night, there was a 2005 SSM next to it. The two silver's looked different. The SSM seemed like a lighter silver. With the name change for silver for '06, are the two silver's supposed to look different?

Also, are Acura dealerships allowed to certify cars that have an accident record on the carfax? I came across one that had an accident record, but the owner of the dealer said that just the front bumper was replaced after being hit and that the person went though insurance to have it replaced, which is why it was on the carfax.

 

Looks like for the 05 models only one silver was available: SSM.

Yes, they are a little different, with the ASM being a little blueish.

 

Chances are people are lying when they say "just the front bumper was replaced". If it was an accident, most likely more shit got messed up then just a bumper. They might do a good job covering it up though...
