03TLS vs 325 Coupe

My friend just bought 325Coupe. I know i can eat that car in a straight line very easily. But my friend just showed his smartness and asked me to race on "Jackie Robinson" For all you Newyork Guys. Its actually a nice curvy road. First, i was thinking to put on KYB Shock/struts But since he wanted me to run on that road. I am thinking to put Bilstein. I already bought the S-Tech (TEIN) lowering springs. Now just have to buy that Bilstein struts/shocks.

Any 1 have any idea if that Bilstein can help me on that curvy road when i race 325?

Sao you guys mean this is how i can beat a 325 on the curves ..... Bilstein shocks/struts+Stech Tein Springs Than Sway Bars ... and im good? Which sway bars

Im Good on the curves... ive driven a 325 on the same curves and i know that car has a totaly different handling and will easily take the TL on the curves. So thats y i need my car to act the same way otherwise im not even trying..

i just made that up based on the fact that the 3rd gen TL-S 6MT did so well on a track, so I guess the normal 3rd gen TL should be pretty good?

for sway bars you can go with either Eibach or Comptech.

You're going to do what you want regardless of what anyone says but please, for the sake of innocent motorists traveling that road when you decide to race, PLEASE do not try to hit the apex of turns that are not in your lane...

EDIT: I just Google Mapped that road. Disregard my post.

Thats true, My driving skills on the curves are not bad. I wont say really good but they arent bad either. But i can only take my car to its limit. I dont want to cross that limit so why not just Increase the limit by putting some good suspension and tires. Thats y i needed some opinion with that.
So let me know... Should i Put all that money for that Bilstein or is it just a waste? ill still lose??

I think you should study the road. Be able to visualize the whole road without being there. I would get shocks regardless if your going to lower your car with springs. I like bilsteins more than koni's from past experience, if you don't mind a sporty ride.

yea it will eat it up on str8 aways but on turns that car is so little and stable it can just cruise through turns at high speeds...i thnk if u get the bilsteins and maybe even just a RSB you will be fine...i dunno what kind of tires u have on ur car but i have the same car as u just in black and i have the yokahama avid v4s and they grip like a suction cup

well if there are any straights on jackie robinson u will have no problem because even if u fall a bit behind in the twisties your car will over power him on the straightaways. make sure u end the race after a straightaway

stay off the jackie rob!!! not worth the damage you will do to your car.

if your friend wants a fun fair race. GCP is the way to go... the jackie rob is just stupid to speed on.. with all the cars ive had, ive never gone over 35/40mph on the parkway. its just tooooo tight...

butttttt. drop the TL, a nice RSB and you''ll out dip a 325 ANYDAY....now.... a 335.... lol. thats a different story!
