03-05 Honda Accord 4Door Fog Light Mod

does the front bumper has to come off when cutting the bottom grilles? I bought the oem fog lights from ebay. I work and go to school at the same time, and I dont have time to do this myself. anyone has done that in the seattle Wa area? which shop did you go to and how much just for labor? I was thinking about going to cartoys to see if they can do it or not... please help and post some nice pictures of how they look like!

Yes you need to take out your bumper. Process will take about 2-3 hour if you have a buddy help out.

I have been working on this mod ALL DAY!! Not fun guys! It's not an easy-fit. Lot of grinding, guesstimation, checking and refitting....... Frustrated. Lot of bit changing, Dremel has been getting a workout. I'm goin to sleep!!

I love the foglights. Do you need to buy the fog switch for the accord too, or did you just hook it up on a toggle switch with fuse?

I'd like to do it as well...I'm good with a dremel, but what needs to be trimmed? Do I just buy the Accord fogs and use my stock grill (trimmed to fit)? Or do I need the Accord grill too?

You need to buy some accord fogs and trim your TL grill to fit the accord housings.

You will have to do some pretty extensive trimming on the foglight housing too. I decided not to cut my entire grille, when it meets the foglights. I left the outer ring. It's harder that way as chopping the whole thing is easier. I wanted to frame and secure the foglights with no shaking.

It's not easy to explain but a couple things to note is that if you have an A-Spec kit there will have to be some trimming at the lower outer corner. Also the Accord fogs have a slight angle on it's outer border. They angle outwards. The lower grille openings are straight horizontal and rounded off. You have to trim carefully to get it fit properly. It took me hours to get it right. Also there is an angle adjustment bolt that juts out on the bottom. I had to do some trimming on the bumper and grille to fit that in. I'm doing mesh grilles too so it is an additional headache. It is a big time headache finding a way to get this to all fit together. I was abut to chop the grille many times to make it easier but I finally got it.

My only problem now is finding a way to screw in the inner ends of the foglights where the holes for the screws are......I'm thinking of drilling holes into the bumper and zip-tying it? Originally I thought of fabricating an exotic bracket. I have HIDs in there, I don't want any shaking. Any ideas?

Yup thats where I put it, When i have any parking lights on the icon for the fogs light up and when I turn on the fogs the solid green light comes on thus making it 100% functional as if it was oem installed.

thanks for the kind words george!

I used Ebay fogs. I'm sure the OEM ones are nicer. Forget the wiring, it totally dosen't make sense to me! I am putting in HID so I will rely on the wiring harness for that.

I have my lights and grilles all installed on the bumper ready to go on the car. I ran wires through the firewall. I am waiting on a ballast, but I need my car drivable within 2 days so I will only totally finish this mod next month.

I wish I could use the blank next to the mirror switch but I already used it for DCC's switch. My center console has a DVD player and PIEX3 switcher in it and will later have my V1 display. I guess I will use my ol' blue LED toggle switch I have lying around. Thing is where the heck should I put it?? I already have a blue LED switch near my leg on the lower side of the front console.

I found this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...ayphotohosting

Are these the OEM fog lights you guys used?

Also, once you cut out the slots in the grill, how do you make the fog lamps stay tightly in place? Any suggestions?

If you are running high wattage bulbs on the foglight housing that you get on ebay. DON'T because the lens you get on ebay are plastic and will melt the lens. If you are running HIDs then it is ok. Just to warn you though.
