02 TLS vs Impala SS

My first kill since installing XS headers about 3 weeks ago.

I didn't get to run him off the line, but it's a good thing as I wouldn't have done well with busted motor mounts. Anyway, I was coming up to pass him as we were getting on the highway. He slows down in front of me and I slow down and get beside him. We were doing about 40mph when we jumped on it. I expected a neck and neck run as I've heard these are pretty fast. Well I didn't walk away from him, but did pull to almost 2 car lengths by 85mph. He ignored me after that, so I just waved bye.

I can hardly wait till the track opens back up next year and see what kind of times I run. The 14.46 was pre-headers.

well if you think it's worth the trip, Plano is about 3-4 hours away from Houston.

Thanks

With the headers and motor mounts I'm hoping to drop the times a bit more. The local DFW guys are holding me to 14.0s. If the mounts eliminate the wheel hop it could be there as that really hurts your 0-60' times. And if it is I will be scaring some new TLS . . .

Hum, we've got some folks from the DFW thread down that way. I may have to put some peer pressure on them to be a guinea pig for us.

We were going west on LBJ, taking the North Dallas Tollway. We got on it after coming out of the loop.

As for the SSM TL, I've seen a few. There was a guy some time back by the name of PlanoTLS, but don't think that was him. We're always looking to add to our numbers, so we need to get you guys out to a meet with the crew. We got quite a variety of people and cars, so it's always fun. Watch the DFW Meeting thread for updates.

Headers work wonders for the 2nd Gen TL-S/CL-S. My CL-S became a different car after I/H, I could really tell the difference in performance after 3 years of use and going back to stock.
