0-60 ? 05TL -vs- 04MAXIMA

Does any1 know which is quicker off the light?

Also,what is the differance between the TL,s SOHC
and the DOHC for the maxima?

First, I'm guessing the 04 Maxima is quicker, because the 05TL hasn't even pulled up to the light yet. Second, are you asking the difference in technical terms or in real world results?

MY apology,i meant 04TL* Not 05...

In general what is SOHC? What is DOHC? and whats the differance. i know the TL is about 6.2 or.3 seconds at 0-60
i dont know what the maxima is. thanks

SOHC = Single OverHead Cam, where a single camshaft per head engages both the intake and the exhaust valves. The cams are located at the top of each head instead of a single shaft between the cylinder banks, so there are no pushrods or rocker arms.

DOHC = Double OverHead Cam, employing separate camshafts per head, one for intake, one for exhaust.

Based on what I have read the TL with the summer tires will be
quicker. If you have the crappy all seasons on, the TL will be a little slower or tied. The stickier summer tires really help traction
and the initial launch.

This is all based on the 6MT.

I do think the 5AT with summer tires will be very close, to the point of be insignificant.

Get better tires if you buy the TL or go with with summer tire option.

I think the same could be said for the torque burdened Maxima.
