$40 For Bumper Plugs?

I called into my local Acura dealership and asked how much painted bumper plugs would be, they told me $19.99 each, that sounded kind of ridiculous to me, anyone else get quoted for the same amount?

Where can I find them online or on the forums for cheaper?

I also paid around $14-15. $40 is ridiculous.

I get them for free, but I do this only from time to time (not now as I don't like asking for something free at the dealer over and over). I've already sent out like 19 pairs to members.

Got mine for free also. Didn't even have to ask for them. The dealer just put them in on their own.

I feel like there used to be a member (not that I remember his name) that worked at a dealer and had a whole bunch of them...maybe someone else knows who I am thinking about?

I got mine for 18$ IIRC from acuraoemparts.com.

Its a stupid expensive price for that crap, but then again its not something they sell or make a lot of...hence the premium price.

I just took off my front plate for the first time after a couple years of owning my TL. There is no paint fade, but I can see an indent and some scratches where the plate bracket was. I don't have the plugs right now but what I don't want to get is a $20 fix-it ticket after buying the plugs. I honestly think it looks ok without them. If a non-TL owner would look at it from a distance, they wouldn't even know.

Call a dealership in someplace that has to have a front license plate (TEXAS). Tell them you bought the car their and now moved to a state that don't require front plates and ask if they have a used pair they can send you.

Under $7 each from OEMAcuraParts.com. Contact Tim over there and you might be able to get discounted or even free shipping for such a small item.

Here's a link to the 2005 colors:

BTW: All the posts about getting them for free are just useless. Obviously this guys local dealer is not giving them away.

Uh yea that's because he's calling the parts department not the service department. Do you really think the parts department is going to give you free parts? Dealerships throw those plugs away usually.

I was quoted $20 each at the dealer too, special order parts... I bet they have a bucket of em sitting in the back cause they put their dumb ass plates on every TL... Im just gonna fill in the holes when I paint the front bumper, I dont ever plan on having a front plate, and if I do Ill get that tow plug mounted plate thingy...

I spoke with the Parts manager at the Falls Church Radley Acura yesterday and they are now officially price matching to online dealers. You would need a print out of the parts you want and the prices, etc, to show them though. Just an FYI if you're talking about the same Radley Acura
