Are you happy?

The miles are real good and the nav is nice to have and a little scarce. Is it Acura CPO or just a regular dealer? I think you may have been able to do better, but I wouldn't say you got ripped off. If you like the car, color, equipment, etc., you did OK. Good luck with it and enjoy!

That is about what I paid for my WDP CPO about a month ago, but mine had 20k miles. If I had it to do over again, I would have some how negotiated getting the windows tinted as well. No tint sucks in AZ. I think you did alright.

Ive been pricing these cars for a long time now, thats a little high, but IT IS Certified. That means you got the 7 year 100k mile warranty on it right??

some good deals ive looked at are as follows

05 22k miles nav = 26k carmax
04 22k miles nav = 23k Infiniti of manhattan

those are the 2 best deals i have found, but none are certified, thats from looking for about 6 months, im goin with the 23k one, and thats similar to yours but you got a year newer and certified (i wish i had that). comparing that to the carmax car is CPO worth 2500 to you? i think it would be. you paid a little high imo but you prolly got all the bells and whistles from the dealer. good luck with your decision, youve came to the right place.

CPO certified pre owned, and I think you over paid by a couple grand but if it was 28k out the door after fees you are good, the dealer won't just take it back hommie, you signed a contract... you registered it, it is yours

imo .. its quite high ... when i was shopping for tl's a month or so ago .. i was getting qoutes on 07 BASE tl ..non navi for 29900 including destination

granted you got navi .. but this was a brand new 07 with 0 miles and the newer facelift for 1500 more ...

as long as you are happy though .. that is all that matters

i got my 07 TL-S 6 speed for 34k including destination and all season mats

Your 28.4k price is not bad. Does that include TTL? I bought my 06 TL with nav a year ago and I paid 35k OTD, which included TTL (and tax in NYC is 8.375%).

A nice color combo. I paid 23.5k b4 TTL for a 05 TL (no navi) w 32K miles. I'd say 28.4 is a bit high, but at least its CPO and you got a color combo you really like. I bet you could have nego. that price down to 27.5

KBB says Trade in Value - 24.5

Given the dealer is gonna make a few grand off the car i'm thinkin you could have knocked off a little bit. but i guess it really depends on the used car dept at the specific dealer. they all have their own philosophies...

WOW, that is a great price for the "specials." What are they and where are they located? Are they demos or TLs that come with "special" financing (like 7.5%) or the 30k price is only good with hefty trade-in discounts where you lose an arm and a leg in the trade?

Just for reference... I just picked up my '05 TL Anthracite/gray flawless condition, clear title, 6MT, navi, higher miles...50k for 21,300 out the door, i think you over-paid but is there really anything you can do about it at this point?

I just got an '07 non-navi for 29.5K + I got some freebies. 18 miles on it when I picked it up. With nav it would have been 32k. I wish the cars depreciation was only $3.5k for 2 years and 25k miles. Then if I traded in after 10 years it would still be worth $12,000, and would have 125k miles...gulp, I wish.

I paid $32 OTD (out the door) for my TL '06 NBP w/NAVI at Sierra Acura in CA last year. It was the best deal, after contacting a couple of So Cal dealers. You're in MA, for a $28K with 25K miles on it , I definitely think you could've gotten a better price than that. I doubt you can return it for a full return but if you can you should defintely shop around, you can prob get a new car. A couple of thousands saved is more money to spend on mods

You asked a loaded question. Somewhere somebody always got a better deal. Just use this as a learning experience, enjoy the car and move on.

The price was within range and the car sounds nice, just enjoy it.

DCH Acura Temecula, CA

I don't get this....you knew the numbers before you signed, you now have buyers remorse....and you think the dealer ripped you off?

Explain.

if you signed and it was delieved you cannot just take it back. You paid top dollar in my opinion. That and the 08s are due out. This time of year can be the best and worst time to buy. The dealer wants you to think the car is 2 years old and it is really 3 since the 08 are out or will be out in days. It is a great time to buy an 07 since they usually discount those.

I would say to live with your decision or you will have your tail between your legs when you go to the dealer and tell them you want your money back. Live and learn. you might not have been ripped off but you paid top dollar...

LOL but you aren't buying a used one for 28K. You can get a new car for that! no not a TL but a new car with the latest in technology and fixes since the 05s were not free of defects.. No car is but the TL has had more than its share!

Well then good luck to you then when the repairs come rolling in... The upscale lux owners need people willing to shell out $$ for their used iron. That's what the market is about...

Question

I am thinking of selling my SSM 2005 TL 5AT w/ Nav , Aspec Chrome Wheels ( bad rim rash and are off balance from being very slightly bent from hitting excavated highway turff) Aspec Skirt Kit, all weather mats and trunk tray and deck lid spoiler. I have 33,000 miles and counting.

Mods include tints, White led modded front & rear 07 side markers, led interior lights, licece plate and reverse light leds, Cleared headlights with switchback led turnsignals, and All cleared Tailights.

Paint is in good shape and the car had front end damage totalling around 4000 dolars, new bumper radiator, paint and all those little parts associated. (overpriced in my opinion but insurance paid) Looks beautiful now.

What would be a fair price for trade in, private party and buy from dealer prices?

You could have bought mine for less, and I have the A-spec body kit, wheels and other goodies. But it's not certified obviously Link to my car below.

you basically paid book around the book value of that car, if it looks good and runs good, hate to say it, but suck it up, and enjoy it, the dealer is going to give you an extremely hard time trying to return the car, not to mention if they do, your going to loose money on a buy back, it might be better for you to trade the car in, your gonna loose some money, but you won't loose that much since the car is new and you haven't been paying a lot in terms of interest and all that, im not a financial adviser so don't quote me on what im telling you, but i hate to sell a forum member in an unhappy situation, i was in a similar one myself, looked at an 04 w/nav after doing the numbers, i just bought an 07 type s, i know big jump, lol. But like others have said an 05 is going to be 3 years old pretty soon, yeah it might have it's rattles and stuff, but overall the tl is a solid car compared to a lot of others on the road. At the end of the day if your still having buyers remorse, trade it in, find a good dealer that's gonna work out good numbers where you won't loose too much on a trade in, some might be willing to wash you out of your current car, but it all depends on how willing they are to work with you - or just take it back to the dealer you bought it from and trade it in there, not sure if that's the best idea but if they were good to you, you never know, just dont sign anything till your sure, lol
