Nope. No difference at all.

If you are complaining about low speed jitters on rough road, I think we are just stuck with that!

The only thing I can suggest on the jitteryness of the ride is to switch down the 18" wheels. I know it sounds terrible, but it will help with the ride quality.

I'm still waiting for my notice. I thought I read somewhere that ALL RLX's were being recalled for this. Maybe not?

You don't need the notice. The dealership has all the repair information.

Just call the dealership or go straight to the service department to book an appointment. Let the dealership sort out whether your car is affected or not.

As for the "loose drive shaft bolts" recall campaign on my '14 MDX, I went to the service department to book an appointment, and had the recall done the next day. I received the recall letter many weeks afterwards.

Loose suspension part is a major safety concern, and you should get it looked at ASAP.

I'm adapting and accepting. :-)

My 4G TL 6-6 was a Tech Pkg, which you might recall came with 18" wheels.

They are arguing with me that if my TL had the 19" wheel package, I would probably have felt the same way about that, and the TL suspension (they say) is not in any way superior to the RLX. The other way around (they say).

I did notice a change, but not in ride quality... mine felt tighter right from the second I pulled away from service.

I actually already tried that at two different dealers in my area, and in both situations I was told I had to wait till I received a notice in the mail indicating whether or not my car was affected.

I thought I recall reading somewhere that ALL RLX's were being recalled, not just select ones.

All to a certain build number, and I don't know what number that is. My build number is high, and mine was affected. So I'm assuming that it's up to something like 7800.

I suspect that the dealerships are slowing down the installations of the kits because they just don't have enough of them. In other words, they might have enough people scheduled already that it runs them past the number of kits they have in stock.

It's also possible that the person to whom you're speaking does not fully understand the problem. I'd be tempted to forward him the picture from the poster here that shows the wheel radically tucked inside the wing!

Last Thursday I get an email from my dealer indicating my parts are in- I call up asking what parts, I didnt order any parts (knowing that a recall was issued I had a hunch that the dealer was on the front of this problem with its customers) and the service rep says- let me check on this, this car is new and you havent even brought it in for service yet. I mention that there is a recall, perhaps it has something to do with this order for parts.
He calls me back in 2 minutes, yup thats what was ordered for me- and when can I come in to get the service done. We schedule for today and I will find out tomorrow if my bolts were loose and I will see if the car rides differently.
But, my dealer was proactive and got my recall parts even before I got any notice from Acura (which as of yet I havent heard a peep from them) and this will be all done with.
My car has 1700 miles, and I have them looking at some minor cosmetic stuff; center armrest not gliding smoothly, the leather is detaching from the center armrest and the front windshield defroster molding is not staying flush and secure on the left side.
Thats all I've had issues with. The car is so far very smooth, fast and responsive.
I have the fully loaded RLX and if the engine at 1700 miles is this responsive- I wonder what it will be like at 40K. My 06 RLX at 90K is still just as smooth as the day I bought it, and not even showing any signs of loss of power even though I pushed it hard several times going cross country to the west coast.

To see if your RLX is affected, you can either wait for your recall notice in the mail, check the recall section on http://owners.acura.com/, or call a dealer and have them do a VIN status inquiry on the interactive network (iN).

Got my car done today. Less one thing to worry about.

This car has been trouble free so far. I love my RLX.
