Hey everyone! I'm a new member here and I just bought a new 2014 Acura RLX, the problem I am having is that my Acura RLX is not syncing up properly with my Samsung Galaxy S3 or my iPad. Both have the app downloaded properly, I've got an account setup and it's registered with my correct VIN number and everything.

Issue is that the data that is supposed to pull up for AcuraLink "CONNECT" isn't pulling up any information. It's supposed to show unlock/lock doors, tire pressure, oil info, etc. NOTHING is showing up, everything is kind of greyed out and doesn't show any of my information. For example if I want the car to flash it's lights i put in my pin and it says "COMMAND SENT" but the lights don't flash. Virtual Dashboard looks like it's communicating with vehicle but the information is default info and is not pulling it up accurately.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!

Forgot to mention I have already contacted AcuraLink's phone support and they're no help, they said they'll call me back in 24 hours and I haven't heard anything back yet. Also the dealer has no clue what is going on either. Please help.

 

Are you able to get your car's info using web browser? https://acuralink.acura.com

The acuralink basic package doesn't include remote access. You can call acuralink to subscript 3 month trial for acuralink remote or premium.

I actually have the premium AcuraLink package, going to check the site and see what it says.

 

Ok so I checked at the site, it shows my VIN and my car but it doesn't give me ANY accurate information. Shows that the mileage is 0 and doesn't have any updated real time info.

Any other suggestions???

 

Click on "Get Vehicle Status" and it should connect to your car to collect info.

It may need to take few tries sometimes depends on the connectivity condition.

 

Yeah thats the issue, when I do that it doesn't pull up ANYTHING. It simply says the VIN number which is correct, type of car, and it shows "0" miles and nothing else.

It sounds like they (the folks at AcuraLink) don't have your account set up completely or correctly yet. What happens when you press the Acuralink Button by the rearview mirror? If it says you require a subscription and doesn't call out your account hasn't been activated properly yet. Your car may also need some additional software downloaded but they should be able to do that remotely.

 

Figured out the issue guys, turns out that the car needs to be running for at least 5 minutes. I haven't driven the car at all since I got it as it's a lease and just sits in my garage for many days out of the week. Issue resolved!
