Is it true even in 2020 RLX Siri Eyes Free is still not available?

Doesn't necessarily call it out in the Media and Connectivity section like it does for other Acura models:

Nor could I find the mention of it in 2020 RLX manual: http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/p...BTY32020OM.PDF

I was thinking of upgrading to at least 2018 Sport Hybrid, but given the infotainment system is soooo outdated, it doesn't seem like a good deal anymore. It just doesn't make any sense to me after all these years Acura couldn't bring the infotainment system just a little bit up to date?

I purchased a CPO 18 RLX hybrid with 7200 miles in Dec/19 for $41k. The Krell audio is an improvement over the ELS system in sound quality. My 19 MDX has the ELS with Carplay and I like the sound and the exposed speaker looks of the Krell way better. I put over 13,000 miles on my 19 MDX with +8000 miles in road trips. I was really surprised how I don't use carplay as much as I thought compared to just the bluetooth streaming. I probably would use carplay more if it was on the lower touchscreen instead of the upper Navi screen and you have to use the navi knob. You also have the option of using Acuralink to search google maps for addresses and send to the RLX when driving. One thing I do like about th Acuralink app is it shows my icloud calendar events and I can send the address to the RLX (you have to put the address in the icloud calendar).

The main reason I purchased the RLX hybrid was because of the powertrain, mpgs, HUD, and sporty looks of the +18 models. I think the best you can do is add carplay with Grom or Navtool. There isn't any word if there will even be a next gen RLX after the 2020 model. Even if there is, it will probably just have the +19 RDX infotainment system with every function buried in a single non touch screen.

If i was purchasing a vehicle and the infotainment center was important, any version of the current RLX wouldn't be an option. So many other features of this car make it a hidden gem. Especially if you can find a good one in the pre-owned marked (talking purely about the hybrid version). If you can find one, you might want to snag it. You eventually get used to the archaic infotainment system!

True. I have 2016 PAWS Advance, and I've lived with the shortcomings of the infotainment so far. To invoke Siri, I press the Home button on the iPhone mounted on the cup holder but it's not seamless and I must tune to Bluetooth source and it's really laggy, and sometimes it says dialing phone first even though I'm not making a call. The irony is my 2000 TL which my son now drives, has the Sony CarPlay and I just can't get over the fact the RLX is 16 years younger than the TL, but the TL is more modern stereo wise. I can text message left and right when driving the TL to my hearts content just by pressing a button on the steering wheel, but I can't do that with the RLX. The thought of adding NavTools CarPlay has crossed my mind, but when I look at the effort needed there I always get cold feet. I get it to make CarPlay works they need to upgrade the hardware on the RLX, but to make the Siri Eyes Free work - come on, that's only a software update and Acura is too lazy to update their software on RLX to make this happen even after 6 years. Unbelievable.

What is crazy I just received this in the mail touting the features of my new Acura 2020 RLX Sport hybrid. I circled the red box. But Siri Eyes free doesn't work on my RLX. Talk about false advertisement.

I'll have to check this later on my '19 to see what happens. Should be the same unit. I'll report back.
