Emai / Text supported on iOS?

Anyone else able to get this working? Tried with the previous 6.x iOS and now
the new 7.0 and neither work. I enable the option in the RLX phone setting window but the options for "selecting account" is always greyed out and disabled.

The Acura website says iPhone 4 is supported. Im running an iPhone 4S with iOS 7.0

On the MDX, I needed to enable "Notifications" on my iPhone 4S (in the Bluetooth settings). Then I restarted the phone and the car, the "selecting account" became selectable.

Seems only receiving a text and getting the notification are the only features available so far. Not able to reply or do anything with email...yet.

Anyone use this feature with IOS 7? I can't seem to get it to work? It won't read the text to me.

iPhone 5 with IOS7. Doesn't appear to connect for email or text despite trying all the tips. So I had long given up. Then yesterday, out of the blue, while driving, I see a text message on the upper display. When prompted, the system read it aloud. Nothing since, but I receive few text messages (old timer!), mostly email.

. I believe this is correct. Once set up properly, an iPhone running iOS 7 can read aloud the text messages. However, we cannot reply at this time.

However, if you are willing to handle the phone (press the home button) while driving you can make a paired iPhone use the software's built in Siri interface to read and reply to text messages.

The best thing to do is 'practice' using Siri out of the car. If you receive a text message, press and hold the [home] button to initiate Siri and say "read my messages". After Siri reads the message, she will prompt you to "reply, delete, read it again" to which you say "reply" and dictate your message. Siri will read it back to you and then give you the option to "send or change it". When you say "send" the message is sent. Throughout this entire operation, you have only physically touched the [home] button once.

Transfer what you have learned to the car, and you only need to hit the [home] button once and you then talk through the bluetooth system to complete the operation. As you learn more Siri commands, you can get her to "send a test message to [insert contact]" or "read my new email" etc. Hopefully Siri Eyes Free will be added soon and you can replace the [talk] button on the steering wheel for the [home] button on the phone.

In Settings/Notifications/Messages, did you have to select an alert style?

Did you have to enable Show on Lock Screen and Show in Notification Centre?

Maybe an iPhone tutorial for the RLX would be a good idea. It's possible that the majority of iPhone users will disable items for security reasons, items the RLX needs to function.

I've changed a couple of settings today and will see if the RLX gets iPhone messages.

Don't laugh. I suspect the age of the average RLX purchaser is approaching official over the hill status.

I'm okay in the daylight, but I noticed last night that I would have difficulty reading some things. Maybe I need to break down and get bifocals.
